Nothing all was great

Lovely size room with plenty of beds very clean, towels and shower gels in the room, tea and coffee supplied the host was very friendly and once we had check in we were just left to do our own thing

Oliver was a lovely host. He helped us with washing and hurling. He let us use his oven. The room was comfortable and the space was bigger than a hotel room! It wasn't luxurious but it was nice to come home to. Oliver provided a little breakfast and the area was lovely and quiet.

The Full Mattress was not comfortable. The description on Booking wasn’t exactly accurate. There’s one large bedroom with a Full and Twin bed and a curtained area in the same room with another twin bed. There is 1 toilet and 1 shower, but they are in separate rooms. Finally, the washer was not in the unit but shared for the property. However, we had no trouble using it and Oliver had a dryer as well which is uncommon. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again! It was also far less expensive than some of my other options for our family of 4.

Fantastic host and location! Central for Kilkenny, Cashel, Kildare, Glendalough if you have a car. Oliver was a great host! Interesting to talk to and he wanted to learn about us and was genuinely interested in our family and trip. My son had a birthday on St. Patrick’s Day and he gave him 5 Euros as a gift which made his day! The kitchen was great to be able to eat at the apartment, but we were also welcome to the continental breakfast. On two of our 4 mornings, Oliver made us eggs as well since Americans like eggs for breakfast. We liked having access to Kilkenny in 20 min but having a peaceful setting. The views from the kitchen were relaxing in the morning. (Last picture)

Lovely quiet location between Freshford and Urlingford, with easy access to Thurles. Lovely accommodation where we had the use of a kitchen and sitting area. There is plenty of room to park, comfy beds. We will definitely stay again.

The short inconsistency with the WiFi connection but this only lasted for a couple of hours. The following day Oliver rang the service provider and the WiFi issue was fixed and started working as usual.

Oliver offered us some continental breakfast like cereals, bread, coffee , tea bags & milk plus orange juice. I appreciate the free breakfast, not every Air B&B offers this service. So to Oliver and the rest of the staff at Kate's Rest. I say a big thank you. My Ensuite room was clean, comfy, there's even a microwave, tea electric kettle and tea trays all on the table. my short visit to Kilkenny was memorable. There's a very good view of the valleys outside my window which is very class and calming.

It was a bit large for me on my own but it had a double bed and two single beds in an adjoining space which is ideal for a young family

I needed a base for three nights that I could come and go and prepare my own food because it was a busy four day trip. The host was also interested in my stay and offered help to make the rushing about easier. I know from a guest that they have used the aparthotel as a base to relocate in Ireland.

The house appears to be slowly going through some refurbishment, so the rooms weren’t completely finished from decorating perspective - not that this affected our holiday at all. Signage at the end of the drive that is more prominent, might be advantageous, as driving up to it the first night, I drove past the entrance before I found it. There really wasn’t very much I didn’t like about it. Maybe, more privacy between rooms in the apartments might be nice, but not essential.

Kates rest does everything it says on the tin! Comfortable rooms, which are MORE than adequate for the majority of people that will be staying there. Our room had a full kitchen, with fridge freezer cooker oven toaster kettle, all of it. It had a nice big bathroom with lovely new walk in shower. Oliver was absolutely fantastic! He made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. His help was invaluable, and we somehow managed to wangle breakfast from him everyday! Nothing was too much trouble - he was awesome!

Perfect location to explore both Leinster and Munster provinces.All was perfect,our host Oliver made us feel at home,mattresses and bed linen are top notch,the house is spacious and well furnished with great breakfast included. The access is easy with a huge private parking lot and impressive Irish landscape views.

The location was great, easily accessible from Dublin and other main cities in Ireland. Amazing view from the property. Service was exceptional. The owner was very kind and helpful with everything. The house was nice and cosy. Will come back again there for sure

location is a little far out from Kilkenny, probably 30 minutes as it is outside freshford village on the tipperary side but it is great value and Oliver is great.

Oliver is a lovely host, the house is really lovely, very quiet location and the bed is very comfortable, shower is great.
