Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Upon arrival the receptionist seemed like she was expecting me. Had my key all ready and most welcoming. Hotel room lovely and comfortable and the food and service in the restaurant were very good.

Lovely peaceful location, close enough to the town to enjoy a nice walk but away from all the noise. The comfort of this hotel is evident on entering and continues throughout, from the spacious lobby area, lovely restaurant and large bedrooms. A peaceful, tranquil and very comfortable hotel with very well trained and pleasant staff. The food is delicious with plenty of choices on the menu for dinner and breakfast offered excellent variety in a beautiful bright and airy dining room. An absolute treasure of a hotel. It reminded me of how all hotels used to be but sadly so many have changed with modernisation that they have lost their charm. It is nice to see this hotel retaining traditions and it definitely makes a difference. I really enjoyed my stay here and definitely will return. I will also recommend it to family and friends.

I asked for a walk-ìn shoŵer on booking and on arrival i checked and was assured by receptionist that the room had a walk_in shower ! The en suite allocated DID NOT have awalkin shower. I had booked a "de luxe" room to make sure of a walk inshower room........

Bedroom was a little cold, radiators were off and couldn’t figure out how to turn on. Steam room was not functioning properly so no steam at all.

Was pleasantly surprised how nice the bedroom was considering it was quite a good price these days for a hotel room. Dining room and meal were gorgeous. Cocktail was delicious. Pool, sauna and jacuzzi were fab.

The only issue we had was the room service dinner. It was a busy night so we were understanding but the food was disappointing and the order was incorrect. As i said, it was a busy night so we didn’t complain to staff. Room service breakfast was gorgeous. The food was amazing and arrived at our exact chosen time.

Homely, lowkey, comfortable. Dated furniture and decor in a comfortable way. Reminded me of hotels growing up in the '90s. Really we enjoyed the art work on the walls. Spent almost an hour looking at them up and down the hallways.

Staff polite but felt it was hassle to get them to book a taxi the times I asked , ended up just booking my own via Uber and they were there quickly, also tried to charge me for our hotel when we had already paid !! Room was set up as a Dbl despite requesting twin but this was sorted quickly

The website and booking.com entry didn't inform us that the leisure centre was closed for refurbishments.

The staff were especially helpful in treating us to a meal when we weren't informed of the leisure centre being closed for refurbishments prior to coming. We couldn't have asked for a more generous offer.

We had a problem with the shower. As we had an early appointment in the morning it was disappointing. We didn’t have time to discuss with staff but it was a disappointment. Everything else was great.

Nothing really only thing the leisure centre was closed due to it getting renovated. I'm hoping to go back to try the new renovated leisure centre.

This was such a beautiful hotel from the moment we walked into the door. The entrance going in was just so stunning, with the hotel being beautiful and decorated with stunningly beautiful lights and tress inside and outside the hotel I just had to take videos and photos of the place it was so beautiful 😍 Once inside we were met by nice friendly staff at reception. Our room wasn't ready yet as we were a bit early. So we headed out for a while nearby to the shops and waited for the hotel to ring us when the room was ready. Once they rang, we headed back and got our key to our room. They had minded our bags until our room was ready too. Our room was fabulous, nice, plenty of drinks to choose from and delicious cocktails, a large room with plenty of space. Big comfortable bed. Our room was overlooking a nice garden as well. We used the facilities in the room and everything was lovely. Beautiful breakfast, and the food was nice too. Big portions plenty to choose from the menu. The hotel was very busy too with lots of Christmas parties. Was nice to be greeted at the door by Santa and Snowman. we had never seen that before, and my youngest child would've loved it if he was with us there. It was very chrismassy indeed

The food and the staff in restaurant and bar areas were fantastic. In particular a young lady by the name of Danielle whom I hope will be General Manager some day soon as she is worth her weight in gold not only courteous great fun and very very efficient when attending to customers and delivering a great professional standard of service even during very busy times.

Could not fault it. It was a pity the leisure centre was closed but I was well advised in advance.

The location was excellent. The hotel itself was very inviting. Warm and cosy and spotless clean. Very comfortable chairs and beds. Staff were excellent. Very friendly and approachable.
