Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt was extremely loud. The social room was right next to our room and people were singing and shouting until 4am. It was nearly impossible to have a good sleep. Would not recommend this hostel.
The location was nice and we were able to book the Ring of Kerry Tour via the Hostel Staff

GermanyOnly after we had booked, we had a look a what other people wrote about the hostel in the internet. The most recent ones from May said more or less: "terrible" - according to them the hostel was loud and dirty and the staff unfriendly So we arrived in a prejudiced mood. But all this did not come true: The family room we had (with a privat bathroom) was clean, the kitchen as well (and well equipped) and never crowded - and whenever we had a question people at the reception desk could help me out. "At the end a hostel is a hostel", a taxi driver at the train station had told me when I had asked him - otherwise it would be a hotel and far more expensive. Probably we were lucky not to be there on a week-end when there might be - just guesswork - a couple of drunk people not returning to the hostel in the quietest of moods late at night. And maybe things are different in a dorm. But as far as our family-room-booking was concerned we could not complain at all (except that our 4-Bed-Room would have been a little crowded if we had actually arrived with four people instead of three)

IrelandThey ask for a 20 euro security deposit for each person in the room in cash. Even after you pay for the room It's completely stupid and a waste of time. I asked could they take it off the card but she said only cash and wouldn't let into the room until they received the cash. Complete boll*x. And a waste of time.
Close to centre, Private ensuite was clean and good shower.

United KingdomThere was a strange incident, in the middle of the night I was woken up by this guy shining light on everyone's faces and I noticed that he got completely naked, but he quickly jumped into his bed... So I didn't think much of it. . just a drunk guy.. I just turned to the other side and went back to sleep. And I slept in till 9 am as I didn't have too much going on in the morning. Once I woke up I noticed that there was only me and the guy left in the room.I quickly jumped out of my bed took all my belongings and went to the showers .. kind of even feeling sorry for him, as if he was naked under his bed sheets he obviously was scared to get dressed before everyone leaves the room. However the guy came into the shower room quite quickly after me and start taking shower I just got changed and was leaving but he managed to open his shower door completely naked exactly at the same time as I did. Then I did told him that what a heck you not supposed to be walking around naked. And went down to the receptionist to tell him what happened. He tried to find the guy but apparently he was hidding somewhere and he left the hostel as the receptionist was looking for him ... So that was a bit weird, but I guess it can happen in any hostel.
I paid 20 euro for the night in 10.or 12 bed. dorm, which is pretty good for Ireland, I had a warm clean bed to sleep in and a place to eat charge my phone downstairs... .a lot of installations definitely aren't the best but if you just need a warm bed to sleep in for a night it's ok

GermanyEverything else. It was dirty. No lockers for your things. Only 8 parking spaces which were taken up by 7 cars. And people started shaking the hostel so much that we woke up in the middle of the night- and that coming from someone who didn't even feel Japans earthquakes.
The location.
