The room we stayed at has improved since the last time as there were new duvet covers. It is very clean and good for the price. A good location in town.

The bathrooms were disgusting , so were the dorms and it seemed as tho people were living full time in the dorm rooms so it felt like we were invading their space and there was people coming in and out of the room all the time who weren’t even sleeping there.

It was the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at a lot ! If I wasnt with a group of friends I would have left and paid the €200 to stay somewhere else for the night as I would have not felt comfortable there as a solo female traveler.

The sheets were dirty and very old. No hand soap. The kitchen is disgusting. Rude stuff. I do not recommend this place at all.

Where to start On arrival having read that there was free parking only to find all 3 parking spaces were full . Then Into the least helpful receptionist I've ever encountered . We then proceeded up to our room which was disgusting . The floor was dirty the bed clothes and pillows were dirty the sheet on the bed was threadbare with holes all over there wasn't so much as a bedside locker or a chair. The bathroom didn't even have a hand towel or soap . The water pump was broken so the shower was barely a trickle . But hey we weren't going to spend much time there anyway . So we got ready and headed off out for the eve . We arrived back around 1am and went to bed . Then around 130am the noise started . People shouting up and down the stairs laughing very loudly . And guys going around banging on doors, this carried on until we decided we'd had enough and left at 5am . and head off on our 5 hour drive home . We have stayed in many a place. Hotels, guesthouses, b&b's and hostels all around Ireland and abroad. But I can honestly say this place was by far the most disappointing place ever . We are not fancy, all we ask for in accommodation is it to be clean comfortable and for quiet late at night And if there are people making ridiculous amounts of noise all night I'd expect the staff to earn their wages and keep them quiet But not in this place

Had to look for parking the first day as the parking spots were all full.

Friendly helpful staff. Booked a private room to share with two. People overall were so friendly and mindful of others and was quiet in the night.

The staff was unfortunately by far the rudest I had to deal with in the entire UK & Ireland. The rooms were alright but I'd appreciate more sockets. The bathrooms weren't too clean but except for the spiders on the ceiling it was nothing out of the ordinary.

The kitchen was very well equipped and the location being close to the town's centre was quite convenient. I thought I would have had a worse experience based on the booking reviews.

Location is ideal for visiting Killarney. Parking onsite and only a stones throw from the bus station. Showers are nice and hot

Linens were old & could be replaced. If you inspected around the bed in the 10-bed room, you could see LOTS of dust build up. The lobby & the room with did have a weird smell. Rooms were mixed gender which normally isn’t an issue as long as no one bothers me. However , all of this was tolerable considering the price. What wasn’t tolerable however, was the fact that at some point during the night while I was asleep, my bra was stolen off the bed from right beside me, presumably by a male guest who checked in very late in the night only for a couple hours. I don’t mind mixed dorms but it becomes an issue of security & safety when someone can check in in the middle of the night for only a couple hours to be creepy to solo female travellers in their sleep. Nothing else was stolen but a couple locals have told stories to me since they have heard of stealing in this hostel. The other guests (& there were very few) seemed to be only a couple older men who might’ve been seeking refuge from the street. I made staff aware of the fact that my bra was missing & asked them to contact me if it was found & have heard nothing. The dust & stained sheets & weird smells could all have been overlooked for the price but the lack of sense of security & creepy vibe as a late 20s solo, female traveller makes it not worth it. Seek accommodation elsewhere.

I was worried to stay here based on previous reviews. The bathrooms I found were waaay cleaner than the reviews made out to be. The bed area in the 10-bed dorm wasn’t toooo bad. Staff was pleasant enough.

The window in my room was broken and there was no blind for the lights. Besides, the man at the desk was very welcoming, but he knew nothing of the town

The place is really great, in the city center, you have some space to park, a very big kitchen, rooms are pretty large.
