Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Bed was a bit small but that's to be expected.

All good but one important feedback/suggestion is to get rid of closed blind cord as this is a very real danger for kids (some die each year from choking), to convey the risk I was in the room not 30 seconds and my 5 year old had wrapped cord around their neck. The danger is averted completely by cutting the cord into two parts. But no other aspect of stay was negative, otherwise brilliant

Never stayed in student accommodation before. Great concept for good price and great location. There were disturbances during the night with students coming back from night out who were loud, but there was warning about it so it’s expected.

The bed is quiet small - It would be a tight squeeze if sharing with someone.
Ideal location close to nice bars and restaurants, basically in the city centre. It was also only a few minutes walk from the closest carpark. Staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival. Room was extremely clean.

Central location all the shops & cafes & pub / restaurants are just around the corner on Patrick's Street. Student / Budget accommodation I will stay there again zero fuss .

The hotel was in the city centre, near every main attraction and the main streets. I din't use the kitchen but the option to cook is nice. The front office was really nice at the check-in.

We had a handicapped shower which was just ok…
The girls that helped us in reception was exceptional. Very good with everyone checking in. I should have gotten her name.

There is the construction side right next to the hotel. It's temporary and definitely not Yugo's fault but dear, was it loud...

The welcoming could be better, it look like we are in a office not the welcoming of an hostel. A bit of noise but not much. We had the feeling to bother the person receiving us.

The parking turned out to be a lot more expensive than we'd been told at reception. They said it'd be €16/day, and that we'd get a discount for staying with Yugo Explore. But when we left yesterday, definitely less than 48 hours, the cost was closer to €50! Also, the bed is a bit small for a couple (a "double", yes, but not really wide enough for 2 adults) . Also, not very easy for the person sleeping up against the wall to get out of bed in the middle of the night without waking up his wife! 😲
Great that we could do laundry! (Actually, we're in Ireland for a full month, so your laundry facility was probably the main reason we chose Yugo Explore.) Also, we appreciated and made use of the kitchen (we'll, only the fridge). We have medicine that really needs to be kept cold/cool, so it was nice NOT having to ask someone for ice! 👍

The bed is very short. It can get noisy from the hallway of the shared apartments.
Swift check in and very friendly staff. The rooms are small, but look very new. There is a small supermarket nearby where you can get everything you need. The kitchen is functional, however there are only very few dishes, so you have to do the dishes and depend on others to do them as well. The location is very good to for exploring the city centre.

Upon booking I requested a late check out, which was granted by the accommodation. Unfortunately I don't think this information was passed on to the house keeping staff, which were extremely loud and knocked on our door several times this morning.

Rooms were not soundproofed, you could hear toilet flushing, talking, door opening at any time, day or night.
