Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe noise was a problem. All the doors are of course fire doors and people kept letting them slam shut with a loud bang, even at night. Perhaps some signage to ask people to take care with slamming doors might have been helpful. The noise from nearby clubs and pubs was very loud until 3am ish, which is fine if you're out partying too. It's not good if you want to get a decent night's sleep. When I mentioned the noise issue to the reception team, they weren't very apologetic and I was very tired on departure. A small refund or even a decent apology would have been appreciated. I was staying for three nights and my room didn't get cleaned once. I expected it to be serviced at least once in that time. When I asked in the reception, they told me that I could have clean towels on request. However, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect your bin to be emptied and for clean towels to be left in your room if you are staying more than one night. Particularly as you don't get reduced prices for additional nights of stay. Also it wasn't even mentioned during check in that I would need to ask for towels. The reception team member did bring me some clean towels when I requested them on my third night's stay.
The location was great. It was very easy to walk to lots of things. Great pubs, shops, cafes etc. The room was a good size for one person and would be cosy enough for two people on a budget I think. I liked the fact there was a communal kitchen area, but it wasn't that clean.

IrelandNoise, uncomfortable beds, pillows very poor quality.
We stayed in August for one night. There was a night club near which meant no sleep till that was over and crowds cleared away. The bed was so uncomfortable that it made sleep impossible anyway. Extremely thin mattress with springs popping through. On positive side the location was very good and the staff were very friendly.

IrelandEverything was great, day staff really friendly, location is perfect and price is more than fair compared to other places to stay in Cork BUT, I woke up at 6:45 because of the fire alarm and it was horrible wake can’t lie. When I asked night staff what was that and what’s the reason the guy answered “ohh it’s okay and normal” unfortunately not normal for me.
Clean, great room condition, bathroom looks fresh and bright like new.

NetherlandsThere is a certain stuffy smell in the corridors and the air is not fresh. There are not enough, plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses in the kitchen. Reception was short of toiletries the first day (no shower gel or soap). I paid 400 euros for 3 nights so am not very impressed with that. Finally, the mattress was extremely soft and as a result, I did not sleep well.
The view was ok. Location in the centre but still quiet enough. Spacious shared space and kitchen and big fridge.

IrelandNo hairdryer in the rooms. When other people staying in the apartment with you were very loud banging doors, talking loudly in the hall in your apartment, coming in at all hours at night waking others up who are staying in the apartment. The check in at 4pm and then the check out at 10am.
Good location, close to the English market and just walking distance to at Patrick street. The bed was comfy.

ItalyPeople don't understand how to muffle the sound of self closing doors at night. This, combined with drunkenness, is the perfect match for a sleepless night.
Central location, cozy room with high level of cleanliness and modern furniture. Safe premises. Quite peaceful outside Bank holidays :)
