Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThe front desk guy was not super welcoming. The floors are man-only and female-only; the private room i booked was in the “female” one and this means that I had to go down one floor to shower and go to bathroom. Not so comfortable. We forgot towels: our fault, but charging 5 euros each seemed to me quite a lot because, I mean, does washing them cost this much to the property? But ok, fine, all in all it’s a hostel. Although the bed was comfortable, the room wasn’t that much: furniture is really the bare minimum with a mirror and a chair and not even a single hang where to dry towels or hang a jacket. Overall, the place is towards the low end of the hostels I have visited in my life and it’s not even cheap at 100+ euros seemed per night (for the private room with external bathroom).
The hostel is conveniently located a ten-minute walk from downtown, in a quiet neighborhood. Facilities are clean and quite comfortable, especially the bed in the private room I booked, despite its dubious appearance.

AustraliaComfortable and private beds. The heating was way too hot and we had to ask for it to be turned down twice. Staff were great, however the desk is understaffed, particularly at night with only one person and we saw several people waiting at the desk to check in with no staff insight as they had to tend to other guests requests elsewhere.

IrelandClose to city centre and reasonably priced but rooms were not cleaned properly ( I moved the bed and there were used tissues underneath) and noise from doors slamming and people talking in other rooms can be heard clearly.

United KingdomRoom was too hot. The various other occupants of the room had no consideration for sleeping people. Banging about loudly and letting the fire door slam every time they went in and out. Would be nice if there were some rules of courtesy that could be shared with everyone on check in.
Location was okay for an overnight stay before heading to the airport. Bed was comfortable.

FranceRooms and beds are okay except the pillow that is almost flat. Common areas are what you can expect. Didn't sleep for 2 nights from all the noise, from the street and non stop squeaking of door from the hallway. Had a nice roommate, we respected each other. But other guest are just really disgusting. Also showers are scorching hot, didn't wash my head with that. They are strict for the checkin hrs. Just wished they will add a chair on the room as it is hard to go up and down if you are in the top bunk, you respect the roommates bed so you just cant to thei beds

AustraliaThe 6 person dorm was the worst night, because of selfish people in the room making noise til after 1 in the morning then again from 5am. 1 girl was talking on the phone on loudspeaker til after midnight then again after 1am but would ignore me if I said anything. It’s crazy how rude & inconsiderate city people are. Unfortunately there are no stoves in the kitchen & fridges are very full, but no food went missing
I stayed about 5 nights in total, in 3 different rooms. My last room was the best, shared with 1 other girl the first night then had it to myself the 2nd night. The bunks have curtains, lights, socket. Rooms have heaters but weren’t too hot & could adjust. There are 5 flights of stairs to carry your suitcase up, but after changing rooms I ended up just leaving it in the very secure luggage room, which was easier. The showers & basins on the top floor weren’t the best but discovered a better bathroom with hot, rainfall showers with mixer taps that stay on & not many people using it! Washing machine was free as it was already loaded with money but didn’t realise the dryers weren’t working so hung some things near the heater & walked to a close by laundromat to dry some bigger things. Was easy to walk everywhere from the hostel

GermanyI really hate to complain, but cleaning could definitely be improved. The room was ok, but the bathroom was a bit nasty and the guest's kitchen more or less a nightmare - I understand that it's also the guests' responsibility to keep the kitchen clean, but the staff should definitely check and clean more frequently.
The hostel is located in a nice area of Dublin with some pubs and restaurants around and a grocery store right next door. Other than this, the location is more quiet since it's a 15 minutes walk or a few minutes bus ride away from the center. The staff is helpful, the room is big and the bunk beds come with a curtain so you can enjoy lots of privacy during your night of sleep. Shared bathroom with plenty of space. Well-equipped kitchen.

PolandBed are old - you can hear every movement on them. There is no selection of people that stay in the hotel as well there are no age restriction - be aware that you can stuck with 40-years old drunk men in the same room which won't be great experience. In general, I wouldn't book this place once again, however consider this as budget accommodation.
Friendly price of booking - especially considering another accommodations in Dublin. There was a person that took care of cleaning bathroom pretty often. Hostel is located 20 minutes by walk from O'Connell street.
