Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaIn the three days I was there, there was no hot water. I was told each day someone was looking at it but to no effect and no apologies. There were no blinds on the window in my dorm, only on the actual bed. This made getting changed a bit uncomfortable and creepy in a female dorm.
Beds were comfortable.

United StatesThey made us wear plastic wristbands inexplicably then never asked to check them? So that was odd. Also the bathrooms were not the cleanest, but it was tolerable. A bit cold since the building is old but the duvet was thick enough to compensate.
The beds were SO comfortable for a hostel, we were seriously impressed!! And the little cubby bunk beds with the curtains just help so much with getting a good night’s sleep. We also got an incredible price since we booked last minute and there were sales available.

SloveniaThe bathrooms were quite dirty at times, especially the toilets, but that was usually only in the evenings, as they are cleaned every morning. Just bring your flip flops and you're good to go
The location is great, there's a bus station 80m away from the door, the rooms are spacious and the beds are nice. Everything went smoothly, and there's a pool table, darts and table tennis in the common areas, so that's a plus!

GermanyA nicely priced hostel in the center of Dublin. Amazing. The premises are partly shared with a school, but rooms and bathrooms for guests are private. Male and female sections are separated each unto their own floors, and the rooms are nice and clean.

PortugalI had booked online and when I arrived there was actually no room available. I was given a bed in a room where you had to go through a female dorm to get to it (I am male). I don't think this was really an appropriate solution or fair on the people staying in that dorm. If everywhere else wasn't booked out I would've booked somehwere else for the sake of not making anyone uncomfortable. I really think that when hostels make mistakes like this they should pay for alternate accommodation arrangements. Whilst the staff were doing thier best to accommodate, there really should be a policy in place for situations like this. Also there was no toilet paper!
Seemed clean enough and in an okay location, walkable to town

IrelandThe pods give you a sense of privacy even if you are in a dorm. You can work in the study rooms and get food in the kitchen. The front door reception is very friendly and accommodating. Wish they had secure lockers, other than that highly recommended if you are staying in Dublin. The location is very convenient, bus stop right outside the hostel, 30 mins from Airport on a direct bus and city is mins away on bus.

CroatiaIt had everything as described! Comfortable bed with great pillow and duvet, and very clean sheets. Privacy is guaranteed because there is little curtain around your bed. Drawer under the bed was big enough to fit all my stuff. Facilities were regularly cleaned. Everything went smoothly with friendly staff. Town center is just couple of minutes away.

CyprusThe neighborhood was not what I was expecting, many homeless people were around so I couldn't feel safe. I had an early flight so I left early before morning, which was why I felt uncomfortable with the neighborhood. In general, Dublin is full of homeless people..
Very pleasant hostel. Easy location. Close to the city centre. Friendly staff. Spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Had a very pleasant sleep but left early due to morning flight. Could not provide a more detailed feedback because I stayed just for a sleep.

JapanThe toilet and bathroom were not clean enough. Maybe you could let the guests know how they clean after used to maintain the level of cleanliness. Also, I was at the upper bed and there was dust on the top. It was nicer if you could’ve cleaned it.

The front desk said it would be repaired the next day, but it was not. The front desk on the night of the 25th Very bad attitude, I told him the light was broken and he said so what?
