Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandZombie-like staff Unhygienic toilets/bathroom with no night cleaning . Cycle storage facility-you have to drag your bike through the building via narrow doors and up and down stairs, despite there being an external gate, which I was told is not in use. A car was exiting the gate this morning and the driver confirmed a code/key was available in the hostel reception.
The dorm room was clean with pod-like beds with a plug, USB charger and light

SingaporeRoom facility, cold shower, they did not inform the female and male for accessing to the bathroom is on different floor.
The picture online does not Show what the real room was. We r sent to the man’s floor and my partner needs to go up another floor for barroom and toilet. Even no hot waters and people complained about it. A bug int room and we struggle to eat rid of it. We start looking for alternatives in the bed and cancelled next morning for another two nights. We asked them to refund but they refused because of “policy” This place is for loosing money and avoid it.

NetherlandsThe showers were cold, only on the third floor you had warm showers but even those were barely warm. I told the girl who worked there and she said maintenance would look after it, but apparently i was definitely not the first to say the showers were cold and they didn’t do anything about it. It looked like a prison. Told me there was a kitchen but after buying groceries i found out it was just a bunch of microwaves (should’ve checken it myself of course, why would you believe staff). The atmosphere was just as cold as the showers. Shower curtains had mold and the diner tables were very sticky and nasty.
The beds were nice and de location was good.

United KingdomThe middle of the bed was broken so a spring was sticking up. For the price there should be a towel included. I had to rent one and then someone took it after the first night (I’m assuming the cleaning person?) The showers are terrible, the fact that you have to press a button every 5 seconds to continue the shower is a terrible system and should be replaced. Also the toilet nearest my room was clogged and broken. Finally, there was an incredibly loud snoring person which made a night of sleep impossible (perhaps ask if people are loud snorers and stick them in the same room)

IrelandBathrooms were not at all clean. Curtains of the showers were extremely dirty as well as the toilets. They were selling locks for 9€ whereas usually the hostels just ask for a deposit. They also rented their towels for 3€ which is expensive and also usually free at hostels. Breakfast was not included which is different from any hostel that I have seen.
The room was good and (almost) clean. The beds were also comfortable.

GermanyWhat I did not like is that the toilets were not very clean, mostly due to the people staying at the hostel. Showers and toilets are in separate rooms and shared with all guests on the same floor, which has pros and cons.
The location was convenient for walking distance to the city centre and there are supermarkets, cafes and late-night fast food restaurants not too far away. The hostel staff are kind and helpful, and the roommates were great, too.

United KingdomOn our first two mornings there, there was no toilet roll in the men’s toilets. On the second day I went back at around 2pm and still no toilet roll. During the whole visit there was no hand soap in the toilets. Staff also weren’t friendly, and when leaving and entering the property would ignore you even if saying hello or goodbye, excluding one guy who was pleasant, had brown short hair and maybe European. Could have also been with a curtain in the bedroom, I was in the 2 bed men dorm and if you were to undress in the room then anyone outside could see you and in the houses opposite.
The beds were very comfy and had a curtain to pull across to give you privacy. the kitchen area was also spacious and the garden was nice with a few benches. There was also a pool table and table tennis if you wanted to play. Not bad location, about a 20-25 min walk to temple bar.

HungaryThere was no hot water and the heating was on even though we visited in the end of June and it was super hot outside hence inside too. We could not open the windows properly and the heating system was fully on so there was no air in the room and it was so hot it was impossible to sleep. We stayed for two nights and tried different bathrooms in different floors but there was no warm water anywhere. We informed the receptionist in the first morning and he said he will ask for maintenance but then in the evening everything was the same. We asked the receptionist in the next shift about the problem and he had no idea that we complained in the morning so the information was not shared. He was much nicer than the other guy, tried to open the window and found a bathroom with water which was not warm but at least it was not ice cold. He told us that it is hard to find someone for maintenance during the weekend which would be understandable, however other guests informed us that the lack of warm water was a problem for days. The lock for the locker was not provided and there was no option to borrow one for deposit, we should have payed for it. We payed almost 500 euros for 3 person for 2 nights so around 80 euros per a person per a night in dorms and we could not properly shower or sleep. Even though the hostel seemed really nice, this experience was rather unpleasent especially for this price.
The hostel has a very cool style since it looks like a church. We stayed there during the Dublin Pride so it was nicely decorated. The rooms and bathrooms are nice and the beds are comfortable.

United KingdomI was uncomfortable in my room as it was hot. Unfortunately, I couldn't open the window to let some fresh air in and it felt like I was inside an oven. Additionally, I didn't find the receptionist to be very friendly. I want to request the management to provide a fan in the room. If no such arrangements can be made, I would rather stay in a guest house than come back here again.
Great location. Comfy bed.

United KingdomAlthough I am a good sleeper, even with noise, for me was the external noise was a bit much. I understand that to keep the rooms cooler the windows were open but that was the only thing I didn't like.
I liked the location and staff was friendly! What made me choice this hostel was the curtains in each bunckbed which provides with privacy! The bathrooms facilities were good and spacious. The entire place was clean. And the fact that I could leave my luggage in the hostel for a couple hours with no additional cost was great!

United KingdomEntrance is super hard to find it. I took little bit long time to find here. Staffs are little bit slow when you are check in & check out so you have to wait for a long time. Toilet and shower room is quiet far from my room. I don't know if they have a homeless guest or not, there was a bad smell from one woman who has large luggage. She was always in a call and super loud and I felt little bit scared.
Staffs are nice and kind. It was super clean and they also have a language school so the vibe is quiet energetic and I liked it a lot. Toilets and shower rooms are always clean as well.

UkraineGreat hostel to stay! Large rooms and absolutely amazing and comfortable private cabin beds. The bathrooms have plenty of space, so it's never crowded. There is a kitchen if you are going to cook and an entertainment area. Rooms for work or study. Nice and polite people at the front desk. Definitely recommend for a stay! P.S. It would be great to have mirrors in the girl's room.

United KingdomLiterally couldn't think of a single thing. Nice and easy throughout. I mean in an ideal world other cereal options apart from fruit and fibre would be nice but that is really scrapping the barel. Great wee hostel. One of the best I've been to.
The inn-keeper Debbie was absolutely fab -great and clearly popular with all the guests. Very welcoming accomodating, great advice on travelling, and a sense of humour that made the stay easy. Beds comfy enough I didn't hugely want to get up. Basic breakfast made mornings and getting off quickly nice and easy. Facilities, tour, food, location ect all fab. Easy to meet people whilst travelling solo and location perfect.

United KingdomWe were woken by housekeeping twice well before our check out time. I can understand why they’d check on the room condition in a hostel, but as it was spot on first time we would’ve preferred to have been left till after checkout as you’re out at 11 and can’t check in till 3 anyway
The bunks were absolutely tremendous - my whole group commented on how surprisingly comfy the beds were, with a curtain, 3 pin plug and light in each one and a padlockable drawer for your allocated bunk. They kindly let us use the living area before our check in and stored our bags, also allowed us access through to the toilets as the living area and reception don’t have facilities pre check in
