Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

France- the staff is all very very young and doesn't seem to know very well what they're doing. For instance there was an issue with the heating on the coldest day of the year , and I was very uncomfortable for hours ( not surprisingly I got sick 2 days later). At no point the reception employee thought of offering me an extra blanket or a portable heater. Even after I said that the previous night I had slept in my coat. - when I opened my drawer , there was an empty packet of fries there... It should have been cleaned and disinfected
- The fact that the bunk beds offer privacy - Quiet hostel

LithuaniaCold water in the shower. If you are sensitive sleeper, it was impossible to get even couple hours sleep, as people coming to the room at 1am 2am night and some of them leaving rooms at 4.30am, so it was impossible to get sleep. I asked reception to give more empty room as of health condition after hospital procedures, but they won't really care about that.... sad
Clean.

BelgiumI decided to shower after the morning rush and the water was freezing. Probably this is easily fixed by showering at a different time of day. It would have been nice if there was a hob in the kitchen (and some basics like cutting boards, kitchen knives,...), at the moment it's not possible to cook, only to reheat stuff in the oven or microwave
Very clean, friendly staff, nice location. I like the privacy of the bed pods. The pricing is very reasonable during weekdays off season. (not so much on Fridays and Saturdays or in summer)

UkraineNobody from staff proposed any towels for shower :) Good, guys! Keep working this way! :) Very dirty room. Terrible soundproofing. This place can be suitable for those who are very drunk and don't care about what is happening around :) Or for 10 EUR, not for 90... Sorry for such feedback - but it's true.
Good location and comfortable bed. That's all. Unfortunately.

GermanyNo hairdryer provided (not even rentable at reception), so forget washing your hairs in the morning before sightseeing under the amazing wind of Dublin. Walls so thin that you cannot sleep well: try to imagine having a room next to the bathrooms (like in my case). Double room located on the men floor, which means if you are travelling as a couple, the lady needs to take the stair and go two floors upstairs to reach the ladies' bathroom. Not very comfortable, indeed. For 350+ euro for a 3-night stay, we would have expected a better service. It's an hostel, we know, but the price is not the one of an hostel at all. The problem is, there were not many available accommodations in Dublin for those dates, so we really had not much choice.
The location. Large dining room downstairs.

CanadaOn Nov 15 at 9:30 am, a man tapped his card and barged into my all-female room without knocking. Thankfully, I was awake for some time already, but was still startled since I was not given any notice by reception that I should be expecting a man to come into my room. He was holding some power tools and checked some handles, and then walked out within 30 seconds. I assumed he was a staff member, but I couldn’t tell. He did acknowledge me, but he left quite swiftly after seeing that I saw his face and was watching him the entire time. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe!! What if I was sleeping, what if I was changing or getting undressed? I was the only person in the room that night/morning, so no one could have saved me if something happened. I let reception know, and they had no idea who it was. She said the only possibility was the housekeeper who is male, but he doesn’t work until the afternoon. Plus, he knocks before coming in and has his housekeeping things with him (which this man did not). It remains a mystery how this man got into my room, or who he was. I would not stay at this hostel ever again purely for security purposes!! Also, it is not in the best area and there is no sign outside so the entrance is very hard to find.
Free luggage storage for days.

United KingdomCorridors were far too hot! Those radiators should be turned down a notch as they're on so high that they're single handedly causing climate change. Thankfully room wasn't quite as warm!

The hostel was in a very atmospheric building, I suppose it used to be a church, also the area around had a cozy residential feel. The staff was very friendly. The hostel had a lot of public space, and I was very appreciative that this hostel was offering a room with just 2 beds. The kitchen was clean and had everything you need. There was a supermarket nearby. Bed was very comfortable

Hungary1. I wanted directly a bed down. The hostel promised me it. Even though I got a bed up... 2. The room is large enough, but there are no chair and table in the room. Who sleeps up, where can she sit??? 3. The locker under the bed is very-very small. Not big enough for a small luggage. 4. The hot water in the shower was only lukewarm. 5. There are no shelves and hangers in the shower. 6. There is no hair dryer in the shower. 7. It is very expensive for the price.
The location is very good, the city centre is 20 minutes on foot.
