Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe bathrooms were very rudimentary. Showers can’t be kept on, you have to keep pushing a button just like at a swimming pool, and also you cannot control the temperature… so I hope you like it hot! A bit more of an effort could be made to decorate inside the rooms or at least replace the old windows with new ones that provide better protection against the noise.
The bunk bed “cabins” are kinda cool, you feel safe and comfy inside them. The mattress was comfy as well. I liked the drawings on the walls in the hallways because it’s a big building and they helped to provide directions.

UkraineI liked the location: a quiet part of Dublin, but at the same time close to the center. The staff is very polite and friendly. Also, there is a lot of entertainment in the hostel

United KingdomThe only downside was the bathrooms had a horrible smell, likely from the drains. They were clean however.
The staff were great and super friendly and helpful. Perfect location as near the centre but none of the noise.

United KingdomThere is another hostel called Leevin hostel which I originally thought it was so that was slightly inconvenient at the start of my trip but luckily it was in walking distance to the right one
I liked where the property is situated so in walking distance to everything! Beds were fairly comfortable. Rooms were clean as can be! Surprised about the cleanliness of the shared shower and toilet rooms, they were cleaner than anticipated. Lots of bars/eateries very local to it so that was great.

United KingdomAlthough clean and tidy it was starting to show some wear and tear. Only some of the showers had soap dispensers. The showers on the second floor seem to have been recently upgraded, however the cleaning schedule meant they were often being cleaned (closed) at peak times. Which meant using the other ones on the ground floor and a long walk in a towel. We booked 3 beds in a 4 bed dorm. One of our guys couldn't make it and the hostel then filled the 3rd bed with a random guy. (4th bed was already occupied)
Cheap and cheerful. A short walk from the center but pubs en route. Was clean and tidy. Good value for money. Excellent little Spar shop very nearby. There was a large event on in Dublin that week so most of the other hotels were full! The staff were very helpful.

Czech RepublicFor a private room, which is not cheap, the bed mattress was horrendous. All you need to do is use a large anti-pilling and lint remover from time to time because if you do not, the top of the mattress is so disgustingly lumpy even through the sheet that the only way a person can sleep on it is packed into the blankets like burrito. Without a blanket underneath, impossible to sleep. Clean the mattresses, please

AustraliaSo many steps, but to be expected in a big, busy Hostel. The door to the WC would only shut with a bang, some form of cushioning would be uaeful. Signage was mininmal with name and number on only one side of the entrance. Took a bit to sort out parking, luckily another driver in the street was able to help.
Spacious. Staff was able to accommodate my request for a lower bunk.

PortugalMaybe not enough showers and bathrooms for the amount of people staying there. Storing drawer under the bed was too small to fit a trolley.
For the price I payed, it was almost perfect. Beds were comfy enough and curtains were good to stop light coming in. Staff was very friendly!

United Kingdom- Curtain shade was ripped so wasn't fully attached to bar and the bar wasn't fully attached to the hooks (just sitting in them) so it's very easy for them to fall off which makes a super loud noise - The bathrooms are closed at certain times in the morning which was super frustrating when you want to use them
- The private cubicle aspect of the room allowed for a lot of privacy as well as the curtain - The kitchen and bathrooms are jam packed with all the facilities necessary (clean too) - Super lovely staff - Great location - Luggage storage and spacious locker

United KingdomIt should be made clearer that towels are not provided but they can be rented from the front desk. There is no table or shelf in the room to put items which is a little inconvenient as everything has to be in the drawer.
The individual bed had sufficient amount of space. The pillow, mattress, and blanket were very comfortable and looked clean. There is a drawer compartment below the bunk beds that can be locked to keep your belongings. The curtain was very thick and blocked all light so it was good for sleeping without being disturbed when others came into the room. The showers and toilets were cleaned daily. The staff were easy to communicate with. We were able to leave our bags in the storage room since we arrived earlier than our check-in time, and similarly could leave the bags for a few hours after we checked out.
