Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt was quite hot, temperature wise, heat was still on and it was very mild weather
Breakfast wasn't provided, little cafe place was not open very often and location was a bit out of the way for what we did but manageable.

Czech RepublicDublin is an expensive city so considering i paid for a bed and shower, I still found the hostel a little pricey. There was one day when there was no water pressure in the shower and the few drops of water that dripped from the shower head were scorching hot. Also be prepared that there are no lifts - only stairs. I would have also appreciated at least a table / chairs in the rooms or perhaps even a mirror? It only has the beds with power sockets and nothing else.
The location is good - about 10 - 15 minutes from O'Connell street and about 20 minutes from Trinity College. So great for those who want to explore Dublin on a reasonable budget. The staff were helpful. The place is kept clean and there are lockable drawers under your bed.

CanadaRooms were really small, beds are really small, lockers don’t fit a carry-on luggage (so bring padlocks for your luggage). No bathrooms in the room itself
Clean and very quiet

JapanEspecially nothing.
The staff there was so kind! Thank you for your kindness! And I found some comments on booking.com that some users couldn’t enjoy hot water in the shower room, but in my case, I could take hot water of shower.

United KingdomEasily the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It was clean. I really liked the pods and in fact, I paid for a room with 2 bed pods and there was actually no one in the second pod so essentially I had the room to myself. It was great. Even if I didn't the pod gave a good amount of privacy. There's a mirror and a coat hook in the room and also you have a private light and single plug socket but if you look around there are also other plug sockets around the room.

United KingdomThe steps up to the top bunk pods are painful to climb and in the room I moved to on the last night there was an awful high-pitched buzzing coming out of the socket in my bed pod, it made it difficult to sleep
The beds are quite comfortable and nice little private pods with blackout curtains

SpainBunk bed conditions (noisy and poorly fitted structure, the curtains were constantly falling down). One of the bathrooms was not so clean, but because of people, not cleaning service.
Staff, location and price under 25€ per night.

United KingdomWas not put in correct room as advertised, was expecting a private room for 4 friends. Staff said the it was overbooked so we had to be moved into a different room, not a big deal but would just be good if this could have been communicated. This is just because of the security of personal belongings and being in a room where strangers had potential access to our property.
Clean place and staff helpful.

ItalyThe hostel has no lifts but many floors. So it would be very helpful for moving heavy luggage from floor to floor. The kitchen could be more equipped. It has no stove to cook. Just electric ovens and boiler. No chance to cook some pasta or veg. And I consider it very important the kitchen in a hostel. It helps a lot to have the possibility to cook your meal.
The Hotel in general was clean. Toilets very clean and big. The room is fine but the curtains falls every time I wanted to close/open.

SpainBeing big and relatively cheap for Dublín standards, it always hosts irrespectful people who can make your stay worse, people who make noises, do not clean the common equipment, steal food, etc...
Beds are inside wooden boxes, which in shared rooms allows you to isolate from annoyances and relax...

Trinidad and TobagoThe pictures on advertisement for location do not match up with the reality of the location. This was disappointing. Didn’t care for the location of hostel. But just tried to be careful walking around late at night.
Bed was absolutely clean and comfortable. Comforter was soft and thick. Bunk Bed alcove with light made you feel private.

NetherlandsWell, I would expect a more party-ish atmosphere in such a cool place, they should organize some events in that space, it felt a bit...deserted. Too quiet.
It is located in an old church/hospital wing, I think, a pretty interesting location. The distance to the ceiling is huge, generous space, and also a student accommodation. Common space is great, pool darts and ping pong. One can buy awesome coffee and breakfast items in the morning. Couple of vending machines, too. Beds are private, closed, I felt like cool count Dracula. In your coffin, you have a lamp, a socket, and a shelf for personal items. It closes with a black curtain. Overall, combined with the church/hospital feeling, pretty Gotham-ish vibe. Retro, special vibe. It's definitely a special place. I expected to meet Batman, the Joker or Bram Stoker around. Clean bathrooms and showers. Big kitchen/ mess hall with all the necessary food accessories/ fridges/ microwaves/ toasters etc.

EstoniaAt first we all freaked out when there was no water. However, in the end all this water sharing with each other and trying to somehow manage is just an adventure to remember :)
I liked the location which is not far from centre. I liked how big and divided this hostel was. I liked that before it had been a church :) I liked the people who I met and was sharing room with as for me this entire experience was literally life-changing.
