Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The showers were only on for a moment and were freezing cold so I felt I didn't get clean. Not ideal for an international flight. The place was like a rabbit warren, the signs were not helpful and half the staircases were closed meaning I had to wander around lost until I couldnt find anything easily
The bad was increidbly comfortable and I loved the set up with the light, shelf and powerpoint. It was quiet and I could get around from there quite easily

location a little far from city center (you need to walk 25 mins aprox), however you could find some restaurants or stores nearby. Staff from the hostel was very friendly and kind.

One Indian clean was cleaning my bedroom when I was sleeping and everyday he was waking me up with the noise of his cleaning procedures.
Location, all the receptionists and Brazilian staffs who were very friendly and nice.

Toilets shared across entire floor, cleaned once a day. Window in room broken so big draught the whole day meant it was quite cold.
Bed very comfy and private. Kitchen had microwaves, air fryers and small ovens.

I didnt't like paying extra for towels. The price of towels should have been included .. ALSO the lack of any shelves or rack in room was annoying.
The Price was excellent and location was very good. The staff was nice and helpful.

- showers had one temperature only ( sometimes cold ) - the window in the room didn’t properly close - the kitchen is not equipped very well ( you’ll find cutlery and stuff for eating but nothing for cooking e.g. cutting knifes )
+ the beds are clean and comfortable + shared spaces are clean + everyone has their own socket, light, little shelf next to their bed + everyone gets a big drawer (which even fit my whole hand luggage suitcase) + a big storage room for food + outside space + walking distance to city center + easy checkin and checkout + unisex toilets

The water in the shower was lukewarm.
The room was very spacious. The first hostel I've ever been to that is so spacious. The beds appear exactly as they are online and the design of the beds makes sleeping easy even when the lights are on. Good WiFi connection throughout the facilities.

Showers were uncomfortable and quite dirty
The bed was SO comfy, slept like an angel. The place is also quite cool and big. Amazing staff (mainly Brazilians)

Staff very miserable and unwelcoming
Very Comfy beds, Not to far of a walk from busy areas such as temple bar and Conolly train station. Good distance from the airport.

The staff is really kind and helpful (11/10 for them), but sometimes this pales in comparison to the dirt that you might find in the restrooms, not to mention lank of soap and toilet paper at times. I think it’s people who make the toilets look awful even immediately after cleaning ladies dod their job…but fot a short stay it’s more than cool.

The shower and washroom was not clean; it was also smelly. Our bedroom was next to the stairs and washroom and it was loud every night. You can hear people walking through the walls.
Good staff. Good location- 15 min walk to the city center.
