Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThe only down point was the fact that the showers were the type you need to keep pressing, which was pretty annoying. You had to press it every minute so water would continue running.
The room was big, with individual light and socket. They had curtains for privacy, which is a must! The internet connection was fast and reliable. Employees at the reception were very nice!

United KingdomStayed for 4 nights, and the water in the showers was boiling hot. Unable to stay underneath for more than 3 seconds at the time. I told a member of the staff on the second day and when checking out since it was not fixed.
Quite comfy mattress and on a walkable distance to the city centre.

United KingdomVery noisy environment, even if you are in the room with 4 beds only, you can still hear people walking in the corridor and slapping doors. Not very easy for falling asleep. You need to buy the locker if you want to keep your things safely in your room, and the cheapest is 5 euro. There is no hairdryer available, not even on request or if you are willing to pay, just there is not.
Good location and cheapest option in Central Dublin, but definitely too expensive for being an hostel.

United KingdomNo towels. The room would really need a bench or some chairs. The sleeping box can get quite hot so a basic ventilation system would be useful. The floors are really confusing to navigate.
Size of the room was okay. 24h reception is quite convenient.

PolandIt is a pity that the showers were not located on each floor but you had to walk through the entire building. For me, too soft mattresses in beds. The cleanliness of the "capsules" especially the walls could be a little better, however, the rooms themselves were clean.
Hostel located a short distance from the center in a kind of former abbey. Very fast internet and helpful staff. Long time to check out. Rather quiet neighborhood. Large and spacious rooms.

United KingdomThe washrooms could be cleaned more regularly. The beds were very hot in the night, it was raining and quite mild so bare that in mind and maybe bring a mini fan The showers have no temperature settings and also have to be pressed continuounally, so wahine your hair can be a bit of an issue.
I liked the additional privacy of the beds with the curtain. I liked despite lots of people staying there, the majority if the time it didn't feel busy or load (though the mess in the washrooms showed the busyness). I'm more an introvert so the communal areas weren't really for me, but if you were in a group, I'm sure they would be nice to play table tennis

BelgiumSharing a room with 6 snoring strangers coming in at all hours of the night. Beds slightly smelled of feet and restrooms could have been cleaner and stocked with soap. Don't forget to bring your towel and a lock for you things. This is not provided. The hostel was three floors with many rooms, very gigantic place so lots of people coming and going.
Curtains gave privacy over the beds and had outlets with a good wifi connection for working. Next to a grocery store for basics and coffee shop.

IsraelOne staff member was very kind and helpul but another wasn't so. I wasn't told what floor my room was at and the signs on each floor don't state them so I wandered around a bit.
I liked that there was a room to share with only one other person. The area of the hostel might be a bit farther than the center but I loved walking around. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean.
