Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, was severely lacking. My room was packed with luggage of other mates and hence it was really difficult to navigate.
For the cost at which it comes, it is fine to spend a night here. I had to book this in an emergency and it served the purpose well for a night.

NorwayThe overall cleanliness was just lacking, I didn’t dare take a shower in that building. There’s many items you need to pay extra for that aren’t even mentioned in the booking. In the rooms you basically leave your belongings to the mercy of strangers. Everything is just laying on the floor, there isn’t any furniture which is crazy considering how much unused space there is. You just find yourself not being able to place things anywhere, including the bathrooms. The place felt like an old hospital with that harsh lighting, not welcoming in any way. I felt for the people working there.
The bunker beds were properly isolated so you get some privacy, and the staff was nice enough.

CanadaWhen I first checked in the staff weren’t very welcoming. They talked to me minimally, did not give me any information on what I can and cannot use (kitchen, social areas etc). Literally just told me what room and bed I was in - they even asked if I had been there before and I said no. Shared rooms were a mess. People did not respect or enforce the 10pm quiet time rule. There were people screaming in my hallway at 11pm and it woke me up. Also, my roommates started blow drying their hair around the same time.. in the bedroom not even in the bathroom. Hen I woke up and went to leave there were cigarette butts in the hallway. As well, the evening before I tried to use the front room for reading. There were stains all over the couches and floor and the lighting was terrible so it was very hard to read in that room. It just felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming the entire time.
Location was great.

IrelandThe standard of this hostel has fallen down. I have stayed here a few times before , but I can say the standard is no longer the same from check-in time to cleanliness. I waited for an hour to check in. Showers are so tiny, I saw one guy struggling to get in, and there was only one male shower working on that floor.. I hope the management will take action because the standard is now far below other hostels in the city centre. Waiting to check in for an hour is unacceptable
Location, it's town close to tram Station

United StatesMy room was very spacious. I was fortunate to have a bed with a curtain for privacy rather than the wood enclosed one. The room I had had a separate space to put luggage and a closet as well as a large bathroom with a beautiful lookout! Only downside was that it was 15 minutes from the main town area but I don’t mind a walk. There’s no lift but again, didn’t bother me. The staff was very neutral. Not welcoming but not rude. The one thing that was odd to me was that they give you a wrist band that you must wear in order to prove you are staying there which I’ve NEVER seen before and didn’t enjoy very much because nothing screams tourist like a bracket with your hostel name on it… but a great place with lots of space and sitting areas and a garden and restaurant:)

IrelandEnsuite room without hot water in the shower, toilet blocked, room smelly because of the bathroom so I had to use the regular showers/bathrooms. Another female was eating in the room - smell, others making loud phone calls at 11:30 PM. The worst was an extremely loud snoring female who prevented a few of us from sleeping - got about 2hrs. My stay was awful.

Everything was good, it's an old building converted into a hostel. Neat and clean, the staff was amiable and helpful. Beds were specious and pod styles with total privacy. there is a full-fledged kitchen in the basement where you can cook food with ovens, microwaves, and other equipment and keep things in the fridge.

GermanyThere are not enough bathrooms close enough to the rooms and they don't have enough shelves, etc. It's a huge place with very long flights of stairs to climb and an ugly kitchen and toilet in the basement.
The rates apparently change with respect to demand. I paid a low price--and for that, it was okay. But the same thing could have cost 75€ and that's highway robbery! The pod was okay but at first I was assigned a box! A mattress behind a wall of wood, with a crack (for fresh air)? You had to climb a ladder and crawl onto the mattress from the end. It was shocking and looked scary. When I complained, I was moved. Vitor on the night desk was very pleasant and helpful.
