It was such a unique accommodation - rooms are in the old stable which you could only tell from the outside! One of our rooms had two large beds, one of which was in a room that still had the stall divider in it - a wonderful touch! The continental breakfast was the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had. There were fresh eggs - that you could boil to your liking (hard, soft, etc), cheeses, ham, salami, smoked salmon, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit - all very fresh

We very much enjoyed our stay at Markree Courtyard, Andy our host was so personable. Room 3 was beautifully renovated using the old stable doors, the grounds were so peaceful.

Setting was amazing, countryside next to a beautiful old castle, rooms were quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was simple, continental, but very tasty. Staff were super friendly, would definitely go back.

There was no cooked breakfast which was a shame, this would have made the stay perfect

Beautiful grounds, unique rooms, quiet and peaceful location. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. Jackie was so nice to take us for a tour of the property when we arrived and Andy took such good care of us at breakfast and gave us a lot of information about the property.

The room was spacious, updated compared to most others in the area and included a mini fridge. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the included breakfast was great. Above all else, the service we received at check-in and check-out was fantastic.

A good selection of fruit cold meats salmon and boiled eggs. Not a traditional breakfast but it was a nice change and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Was tired and didn't listen to quick instructions on how to lock the door and wasnt able to lock the door so felt uneasey. Would have been nice to have been given a direct number to call with questions. Tried using booking.com to message property owners that the auto reply with a number to call just rang and rang. Adjacent room heat was confusing but soon realized the control on the primary room controlled the side rooms. Also the sink drain we thought was broken but it was a push down and pop up type. If we could have spoken to someone after hours we would have had a better experience - notes in the rooms would have been handy. The rooms were clean and comfy. The pillows were a bit stiff for my liking but acceptable. Enjoyed the courtyard cats that came to the windowsill and wanted petted. Overall I would stay here again but would advise those staying to be aware of the issues pointed out for their knowledge.
