Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe self check in process is not clear - you have to cover the top part of the lock with your hand to make the keypad appear, which isn’t clear from the instructions. When we wanted to check in at 16:30 (we had two bedrooms), the staff was still cleaning one of the rooms. Very odd, as it’s way past the earliest check in time. The only lucky thing about this is that she could tell us how to use the keypad on the door. We had two rooms in the basement, and for the first night a quite loud group of school children were staying next door. Additionally, the door lock beeps very loud when putting in the code, meaning that when your neighbour comes home in the middle of the night it will wake you up. One of the two rooms was very small: so small that the sink didn’t fit into the bathroom, but was in the corridor in the main room. Also, no present staff. We did not see a single member of staff during our whole trip, except the two members of staff who were still cleaning one of the rooms when we wanted to check in.
I like the location. Although further out, the suburb the hotel is in is lovely. The hotel is in a nice building and it’s modern on the inside.

United StatesLoud neighbors, random knocks on my door after 11 pm, the radiator was set on 40 during the summer so it was insanely hot upon arrival after a long travel day. Beds were hard and sheets scratchy. Found hair in the shower and crumbs on bedside table. Could be a cute stay if they work out some of the issues.
It's a fine neighborhood but a bus ride or around a 3 mile walk to Dublin center

IrelandFor the few hours we stayed having not be able to check in til 2pm and had to be out by 10am the prices for hotels in this country are a joke. No breakfast included in price at €250 for less than 24hrs. The "rip off Ireland" saying is well and truly correct. Screwing there own especially when a concert is in town. (This is in no way a dog at the staff, the lady we spoke to was lovely) But at the owners and goverment
Nice area. Room was clean and tidy. We stayed for a concert so literally only dropped bags and came back to sleep. Area is quiet.

IrelandThe room itself was absolutely tiny for the amount of money paid for 1 night. The bedsheets had a stain and hole in them and there was a crisp down the side of the bed. Hated not being able to wash my hands after using the toilet as it was it the bedroom part of the room :/ An absolute nightmare trying to get a taxi from the area not sure why as there was plenty around.
The receptionist that checked us in and out was lovely 5 stars for her alone.

United Kingdom. Self check in. Dormitory style room layout. Rooms clean but very basic. No information about the area or transport in room which would have been helpful, including taxi contact details. I really didn't think it was value for money. Stayed in 4 hotels over 5 days, including a 4 star in Dublin centre and this was the most expensive. Would recommend as a base but don't rely on local public transport.
The lady who called us to take payment and give us the entry codes was lovely. Nice and clean.

IsraelNo reception person; no maps of city so no possibility for any info; not close to city center; we ran out of toilet paper after 3 nights and had to ask our neighbors for some...room is super duper tiny!!! No place to unpack luggage, and we came for 4 nights so it was a pain leaving everything in the suitcase.
It was pretty clean and convenient to get in with codes provided by hotel. Lots of USB outlets. Great shower stream.
