Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Irelandcontinued/ because what you offer is not a continental breakfast, it is a cutting costs down to the minimum job and is an insult to visiting tourists. Now let me note something else. When we arrived at about 5.00 pm the host had her hat and coat on ready to go out, met us with what can not be described as a smile, showed us our room and made a point about locking the door ok. The room did not have a TV, ok it wasn't listed on the items in the room, but come on? this was listed as a "luxury" room. Sometime you arrive and just want to lie on the bed flick on the news and relax, No kettle in the room but a canteen of hot (not boiling btw) water in the lobby with instant coffee tea bags and paper cups to make a beverage, paper cups! honestly no class. Not even a few small biscuits to nibble on. I popped out for a takeaway at the magnificent Mangans fish n chip shop but there was not table in the room to eat them at, sitting on the bed eating fish and chips and then no bin in the room to put the waste and no telly to watch the news, the internet connection was poor. we went to a concert at the opera house and got back in earlyish about 10.30. The central heating was off and the room was freezing, we think another guest complained as the heat came on for about 20 minutes at 11.00 but was soon off, it was a freezing cold night. In the breakfast/living room there was a blazing fire on it looked very cosy but the door was locked. My partner was not feeling too good and could not join me for breakfast but I took her rations into her. All the host seemed concerned about was whether she had covid or not, she didn't she was just a bit under the weather.
I did not like anything. The host made a big deal about what time we wanted breakfast, served from 8 till 10, sunday morning so we said 9.45, Lovely I thought a I nice traditional Irish Breakfast on a sunday morning, what did we get! First time I have stayed at a BnB in Ireland and been offered cereal and toast and that is it. She made a big deal of putting the toast on, the cereals are over there and would you like brown or white toast tea or coffee, brown I said and a pot of coffee, eating in the kitchen with the TV on which I had no interest in and was an intrusion, but more of that later! I got my cereal and was presented with two slices of toast and a mug of instant coffee made at the counter. I asked is there no cooked breakfast, the response was no we don't do that anymore, we do continental now. Well madam if you are reading this, a "continental" breakfast is not a bowl of cereal and two slices of toast, it would include cheese, ham some cold meats croissant or sweet pastries, two slices of toast and a bowl of cereal is not a continental breakfast, I asked for some poached eggs she said no we don't do cooked breakfast, asked for more toast and was obliged and a second cup of instant coffee, Oh I forgot to mention there was half a glass of orange juice already poured on the table, I asked is this mine or did another guest leave it, no she said that is yours, like a half a glass is saying that is your ration be glad for it, it was that disgusting long life OJ made from concentrate in any event and was not cold. I thought this is not good enough so asked for some cheese, five slices of a not to bad mature cheddar were placed in a surly manner to me. Madam if you are going to do what you claim to be a continental breakfast I suggest you buy some nice cold meats, put out some cheese and a variety of fresh fruit, not tinned fruit pieces you put on the table to add to the cereal buy yourself a Cafeteria and serve some proper coffee, because what

United KingdomWe had to leave early in the morning to catch the ferry from Rosslare, so we couldn't have breakfast, and thought it would have been a gesture to leave us something maybe. There was no television in our room, or chairs to sit, and nowhere else in the house to relax. The hosts weren't very welcoming, although the gentleman did arrange a taxi for our return to the ferry in the morning. The hosts left before 8.00pm to go and watch the rugby game on telly at the golf club, so if anyone turned up at that time, the doors would have been locked, and noone in the place to let guests in, or if there were any concerns.
The place was clean and quiet. The bathroom was big even though it was shared, and the bed was comfortable

IrelandBreakfast was a joke, really. Continental is ok, but continental only sweet is not. We ate two slices of toast (which we brought ourselves, as gluten free) with butter and jam - not worth getting up at a certain time for it! Available were jam, cereal, yoghurt and tinned fruit. Instant coffee. Of all the B&B's I have stayed in Ireland (around 15) easily the poorest breakfast. If hosts feel they don't earn enough with their business they should put up their price instead or not offer any breakfast instead of this. No toiletries.
Clean, no frills accomodation, shared bathroom was fine.
