Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Street noise but not above what one would expect.
This was a great location in town at one of the liveliest bars but still quiet in our room. Check-in is easy via bartender and they were very nice. Good food, drink and music in bar!

The dining room was very busy, but we were served promptly, and all enjoyed our meals. We ordered extra drinks from the young man clearing our table, but they never came. Maybe that was for the best, as we were all tired after a long day of travel. Despite this, would definitely stay here again.
We were a family of four adults, and of all the places we stayed over our week in Ireland, we voted O'Donnabhain's as the best. All of us wished we were staying longer. Comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, good food, and a wonderful atmosphere about the place were the reasons why.

I had to go to the laundry room each time I needed an iron/ironing board & return it instead of having one in the room.

the mattresses need replacing. Super thin and could feel the “springs” and we are small people

We were not aware from booking that the staircase to the apartment was sooo steep. Not suitable for and aged or unfit person.... We have made recommendations to O'Donabhains, with photos and email regarding bed, blind and stair rail faults, we have not heard back form them re same🤔😕
The apartment is in a great location... There is plenty of space within and 2 good sized shower rooms. The equipment is all modern and in good condition 👍

I don't think there's much that could be done to make it better...maybe more bar staff :)
The staff although extremely busy were very good. Breakfast was great and the owners were very friendly. Right in the heart of town and across from the pub which had live music. We were able to enjoy it all.

The breakfast was delicious, the rooms & bathrooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are all very friendly & the location is so central. Anytime we come to Kenmare, we always stay in o'donnabhain's.

Location is excellent, right in the centre of the town and street parking is fine. Breakfast was lovely and staff were accommodating. Rooms were very clean but could do with an update.

Breakfast started far two late not in line with the Bus to kilarney which left the station at 8.30 So no.breakfast for two days
