The pillows. No parking spaces available, we parked in the coach space and informed reception and luckily there wasn't a coach due for arrival as it was late Oct so they let us stay there which we were grateful for The only other thing was no trays for breakfast so we couldn't bring our food in one go. These are small things in the realm of things. Beautiful hotel and great location, so I would definitely stay again if in Athlone. It's just for feedback.

I could hear music from the Lounge. There were large parties the first 2 nights, so lits of people talking loudly outside (I was on the first floor). Kids running up and diwn down my hall, shrieking, laughing, and randomly knocking on doors at 11 pm. It woke me up, and it was hard to get back to sleep.

Modern. My room looked over the river as requested. Nice dinner at the hotel restaurant. Had a nice big bed.

The queue to check in was quite long. The hotel was cold. Including our room. Otherwise, staff were excellent, place was very clean and comfortable. We were attending a party in the rugby club so the location of the hotel in relation to thr rugby club was excellent.

I did not like the service,in the,restaurant I ordered a starter,& the waiter brought main meal,the food was not good,my sister ordered a fish platter,she could not eat it,my brother also ordered,a fish platter he thought it was desperate,we will never eat in the hotel restaurant again it was raining very heavy that night & we could not go out,to look for nice resturant

The lady on Reception was very accommodating. We wanted to change our room from a double room to a twin room and it was no problem. Food in the bar was delicious and rooms were very clean.

I found the room quite hot but we opened the side windows and it soon cooled down.

Got upgraded which was a great surprise and appreciated this as it was our wedding anniversary . The staff were great, breakfast fab, the hotel was a nice hotel, clean spacious and great location.

Could clean the windows on the outside, the kettle was not working.

Unexpectedly got a business room, with a stunning river view onto St Peter and Paul’s Church! The room was clean, comfortable and cosy, and it was great to have a coffee maker and the tea on hand. The staff were also very friendly. One tip: if you're looking for a corporate discount, it's best to call them directly first.

Service in the restaurant was not great, staff seemed inexperienced and a bit overwhelmed.

We booked a room with a river view but room 115 was very much a side on view. The window in the room does not close tightly and the noise from the dining room outside and the music from the floor below was not tolerable. Also, the edge of the carpet was threadbare.

Location is excellent. We encountered noise problems with our allocated room (115) but were quickly moved to 311 which was a suite and it much appreciated. It was first class.

e-mailed stating that the rooms must be twins. conformation email returned. on arrival. both rooms had a double bed.

lady at the check in. not her fault. cleared up the problem with the rooms. great work under pressure.
