Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandI recently stayed here with my brother, mother, and daughter, and we had a lovely experience. The location was convenient--not far from the city center--and we appreciated the free parking right outside. They also provided a free cot for my daughter, which was a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, a staff member was there to greet us in the kitchen area, making us feel welcome right away. For a hostel, the amenities and overall comfort exceeded my expectations, especially at such a great price. The only downside was we had to share a bathroom but we were absolutely fine with that I'd definitely recommend it for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay!

United StatesShower facility is pretty rustic. Getting laundry done was great, but the guy charged me 10 euros for one load.
Stayed in the hostel for two days on a walking trip of the Dingle Peninsula. Beautiful location and easy walk to Dingle. Facilities are basic, but comfortable. Room slept three, but I was the only one staying in it. Great communal kitchen well equipped for most cooking needs - if I were to stay there again, I would cook a meal instead of getting instant stuff. Cast iron stove in kitchen area made it cozy. Also, they did my laundry, which was great but expensive.

Was a cosy and comfortable stay for a single night. A nice walk out from main town centre. Staff were really nice and helpful. Rooms were small but what we needed for a one night stay

SpainNot ideal if you are not arriving by car. The walk from town is a tad too long and there are no buses taking you there. Not ideal to go into town for grocery shopping or dinning or whatnot... the new buses running the peninsula are now more frequent and pass by the hostel, so it would be ideal to get a stop there.
We stayed two nights, in two different rooms. The first one was very small and had barely any hangers and had no space to put your bag or clothes... a bit too spartan even for a hostel. The second night in a family room, was a completeley other story. Spacious, lots of light, well equiped room which improved our experience considerably. The staff and management are super friendly.

IrelandThe shower room is quite cold and half the toilets don't flush. Can be very loud also, particularly early in the morning.
The location and the grounds are so beautiful, the actual hostel is gorgeous, lovely wood and a traditional feel. The bedroom I was in was beautiful and when I booked an extra night, there was no problem remaining in that room.

United StatesNo real complaints, it’s a hostel so you have your shared bathrooms and showers. The stalls were okay and could use an extra hook or so.
The property is beautiful and right near Dingle. The room was great and comfortable. We had a quick stay so didn’t really use the kitchen but it looked great and so cozy. Responsive, sweet, and helpful staff.
