The dining room was used pretty much as a corridor with people coming in from a front entrance and too-ing and fro-ing to the toilets as the bar had no facilities of it's own. Because there were very few dining / staying guests it felt as though we wee being supervised at times as the staff had nobody else to attend to. Despite that there was nobody there when we came to check out - think we gave the keys to a handyman who was making himself a cup of coffee.

The rooms were big and well presented. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The choice was good and the substantial. Not a lot of choice if you are not a meat / fish eater

It was the most expensive of our stays and not sure totally worth the price asked. Not convinced the word ‘Luxury’ in the description was completely accurate, but then that’s a subjective judgement call I guess.

Location on the seafront was good and the beach walk exhilarating. Interesting property, seen better times but comfortable and everything working. A big plus was the food served on the premises, which was fab. And the hot breakfast was good too.

There was a lift for less abled visitors but unfortunately there wasn't a room with an accessible shower. My mum is a wheelchair user and she could not get in and out of the bath at all during our stay meaning she could only have a light wash each day. The hotel looks as though some upgrades had happened with a little more to do with a few areas still looking worn.

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. The staff are wonderful and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious.

Absolutely nothing to complain about

We got a room with seaview thought we booked a garden room. That was a lovely surprise. Huge room with huge bed, very good mattress. Hotel in front of the beach. We went for a swimm before dinner in the Hotelpub. Delicious Seafood chowder and fish and chips Delicious breakfast à la carte, freshly prepared irish breakfast! Fresh fruits and natural yoghurt. .Perfect! Very friendly staff upon check-in, in the pub and in the breakfast restaurant.

The water pressure in the shower was not great. Overall the shower was disappointing. Perhaps the head needs refitting or cleaning. Thin streams of water shooting out sharply at all angles. Thankfully there was a bath, otherwise I don't know how I could have washed my hair. This was the only issue. There is no inroom phone to let reception know, and I was hardly going to go down and complain with wet hair late in the evening.

Luxurious, cosy, just lovely. Amazingly soft carpet. Friendly staff. Beautiful paintings lining the hallways. Wide windows looking onto the beach.

Clean good views spacious room great (large and comfy) double bed friendly helpful staff. Friendly bar with great outside space. It’s a local (rather than corporate) hotel clearly locally (family) run so the decor etc was a little quirky and old fashioned - I liked this it added to the charm .

Due to the smell of fresh paint the room needed airing but the window - due to safety restrictions which we understand need to be in place - wouldn't open more than a couple if inches.

Clean and tidy with friendly staff, recently redecorated. The bed was comfortable and the view from the window was awesome - right over the beach.

The guys in the room next to me were quite loud -> sound isolation could be better. Breakfast is upon order, which takes a bit of time (we had a tight schedule due our flight back home).

Great location directly at the beach. The staff is very friendly. Delicious restaurant & bar. Big rooms with old-fashioned but nice furniture.

Rooms spotless but maybe dated I couldn't manage to work the manual radiator,other than that nothing to worry about.probably could do with a shower cap for ladies in the bathroom..

Great location for the beach nice long beach,.I didn't eat dinner in the hotel so can't comment on that but I ate in Chinese across the road and it was lovely and a good price..not many other pubs around just a couple more in laytown which is a short drive away.breakfast was large and very good..

We were given a smaller room than expected / shown in the booking confirmation. The breakfast that was included was of poor quality and took nearly 30 minutes from when we first sat.
