Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No concerns at all.
Clean and comfortable. Easy access on arrival with parking. Great location, 5 minutes walk from town. Lovely host. Great breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Can't complain
I had an amazing stay - the host Geraldine was so friendly and helpful, and so was her husband. I felt very much like home 😊 Very short walk from Donegal Town, and close to a lovely walkpath by the water.

The comfort, cleanliness and hospitality of both Geraldine and Michael were more than expected. I usually prefer hotel accomodation but certainly this is a bed and breakfast i would return to. Excellent value for money. Great to meet real genuine people like Geraldine and Michael.

The owners went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had all we needed. Lovely people …really enjoyed meeting them. Breakfast was great. Literally can walk to town in a few minutes. Would stay again if ever in the area.

Maybe a queen size bed, but if that was an option that I didn't see when booking them there aree no complaints from my wife and I.

There is nothing to not like. Around the corner from the town centre with all the shops, bars and restaurants without the party noise
Lovely room and fresh tasty continental breakfast. Close to the town centre with parking outside. Fantastic hosts and the property is spotlessly clean. So friendly and welcoming it really is a comfortable and homely stay nothing is too much trouble. Great value for money and will definitely be back.

Only thing to keep in mind, rooms are upstairs 1 flight of stairs with no lift.
The host was so welcoming. Delivered clear instructions on how to check in, even helped us bring our luggage up to our room. Breakfast was also amazing with the host greeting us with a smile. Lots of parking nearby. House/room was very clean and beds very comfortable.

The driveway is steep and slippy which they do war you about and there is a handrail in place - but just to be aware for anyone with mobility issues and also going down it in heels was not the easiest. My room door (5) wouldn't close properly unless i locked it with the key - it popped open. Probably just needs some WD-40 or it was my own fault. Not a major issue - just a note. There was a little step up between bathroom and bedroom which I stumbled on the first time, maybe just highlight it in some way...
Great, quiet location close to town centre, parking nearby and electronic check-in was so handy. The room was warm and great for a small room with everything well thought out - proper hairdryer, good light above the bathroom mirror, mirror in the room, comfy bed, good shower and I appreciated the full size shampoo and shower gel (less plastic waste than minis). Continental breakfast was nice with a great fresh fruit salad, cereals, pastries and cooked eggs. Staff/owners were friendly. I'd definitely stay here again!

We arrived on the early evening of New Year's Eve and having called basically every restaurant in town, and in the surrounds, we were resigned to having takeaway for dinner, as everything was fill. Then Mike, the owner's husband, made a quick call to friends and they squeezed us into their restaurant (and even gave us a discount). Fantastic! Geraldine and Mike were lovely - friendly and helpful. Easy parking right outside, and a very comfortable stay. The hotel is just over the river from the town, making it quiet, yet only about 2 minutes walk into the main street. Good breakfast in the morning, after which we had time to walk around town without pressure to check out.

Couple of guys wearing hob-nail boots in the middle of the night but that was not the fault of Ros Dún.

No drinking water in the room, unsure if the water in bathroom could be drank, glasses were not obvious - signs would be good. Path/driveway surface was very slippy.
Location superb, very central. Bed very comfortable. Geraldine was lovely and friendly, excellent shower pressure.

I have nothing negative to say, very pleased overall.
The proprietor Geraldine was wonderful, very nice clean room, great continental breakfast was more like a full breakfast. Highly recommended.
