Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt did not bother us and it was not too loud, but some might not like that you can hear the metro next to the building and sometimes hear sounds from the pub below.
Gerry the property manager was kind and easy to communicate with. The location was perfect, close enough to walk but far enough away from the loud/busy/tourist spots. Property was represented well in photos, you know what you're getting. Also the pub below was excellent. Would stay again.

Czech RepublicWe were very happy, but It is good to know: - there is no real kitchen (small fridge, kettle and coffee machine) - no big issue for us, as around the corner is a nice place to have your breakfast or brunch. -With 5 people we were always solving where to dry towels :-( -Apartment is above the Moss Lane Pub, therefore count with some noise you will hear from the pub. But we knew it upfront and it was not that bad. - the water pressure in shower is low (ok to wash yourself, but not great when you need to wash long thick hair)
Excellent location, close to city center, close to Pearse train-station, bus stops, pubs, restaurants. Apartment is large, bedrooms 2+2+1. We had all what we needed. Extra towels, hair drier, iron and ironing board.. The owner - Gerry - is very gentle person, very friendly. Free coffees, water and milk as welcome package was nice. We were overall very happy and definitely we can recommend Shaw Suite apartment.

United StatesThere wasn’t anything to complain about other than no lift available but that can’t be changed, and is only a real issue with suitcases.
Great location, clean, host was very accommodating, and pub below (Moss Lane) had great pasta carbonara!

So convenient to everything in Dublin, as well as the DART station. The donut shop next door is outrageously good, as is the Moss Lane Pub below the suites - very knowledgeable wait staff!

United KingdomThe proximity to the DART line meant it was noisy but this is to be expected in a city and trains didn't run through the night.
The location was very good. The beds were very comfortable. The host Gerry was very accommodating and helpful.

Great location, Gerry is a super friendly host. Perfect amount of space and separate rooms for a family of 5. Fridge and coffee machine included, pub just underneath and one of the best pastry/coffee shop steps away. Central location, easy to get to train, everything within 10-20min walking distance within Dublin.

United StatesThe place looked like it has not been cleaned for months. I went to the nearby Tesco and got paper towels and a cleaning spray. The paper towel was black after wiping off the nightstands, window sills, the dresser and tops of bed frames. The carpet was very stained and looked like it has not been vacuumed. There was no place for toiletries or to hang the towels in the bathroom. The bed sheets were clean.
This property has a great location and it would be great value if it was clean. There are 3 separate bedrooms with a total of 4 beds. There is ample storage space in the bedrooms and Gerry accommodated our earlier arrival at noon. The property is above a pub and close to a busy street and right by the train tracks. We did not experience much noise from the pub at night however the train would rattle the building at night. There is also an unpleasant smell when walking up the stairs and you need to carry your suitcases up those stairs. There is an excellent bakery/breakfast place right next door called Bread 41 - the pastries are excellent but there is usually a line in the morning so just account for that.

Canadawe had difficulty with the shower every day of our stay, with the water supply proving to be erratic. on reflection, on all but one day it worked in the morning but rarely after the pub downstairs opened. that may just be a correlation. the owner kindly dropped everything and came to our rescue but the repeated problem was frustrating as we had two members of our group that liked to work out at the gym in the morning and shower mid day or in the evening.
the three bedroom apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. it is central to everything and the owner is kind.
