Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandRoom was extremely noisy, you could hear people talking and walking upstairs, and they weren’t being loud. The glass door tothe bedroom offered zero noise proofing from the neighbouring guest entering and leaving or switching the light in and off. Van parked right outside the window of my room and was left running at 7am, which didn’t help either, but that’s not the hostels fault. I just felt the price was steep for what was offered.
Location was perfect, staff very helpful with check in, places to eat and places to go for a drink.

IrelandBeautiful, comfortable, friendly; It surpassed everyone of my expectations. The location is in the center of a quiet mid sized town that has plenty of things to see, the peninsula is breathtaking and the staff and locals were very friendly and eager to share their tips and tricks. The B&B itself had very comfortable private rooms and provided a hearty breakfast and pleasant conversation.

United KingdomNot quite as good value as other accommodation on my trip, but Mike had Ukrainians staying who’d had to leave their home - so I was happy that whatever I paid might have gone towards their stay.
Mike was very helpful, suggesting places to eat and making me a packed lunch instead of breakfast. 5 minute walk to pubs/bar. Comfortable room, good shower, somewhere to sit outside.

IrelandThis is a budget hostel, not a hotel. We knew that in advance. We are well used to simple accommodation. However, the room was very small. Only one hook to hang anything. It doesn't cost much to put 4 or 5 more hooks up on the wall. There is no space to leave an open suitcase. We had to keep everything in the suitcases and leave them standing up, so we could walk around the bed to the shower-room. That room also had only one solitary hook. The shower head holder was broken - I'm not sure why we were given that room. Next door had a fully working shower head holder. That room was empty the first night of our stay. Why not give us that room? There was a locked 'front door' in our room, opening out onto the back street. While there was an old key in the lock we didn't try it. But we did bring our valuables with us to lock in the car rather than leave them in the room during the day. Although the area is very quiet, that door was a bit disconcerting. Also we were in a room at the end of the yard at the back of the building, a few metres from the backdoor of the hostel itself. But we were not given a key for the front door into the tiny hallway between our room and the room next door (the one with the working shower holder), so basically, our room was locked with what would be considered an indoor door key. Anybody could come in the back gate (large enough for a car to come in) to break in. All guests should be given a key to that external door to the two rooms at the end of the yard, and the door to the back street should be completely boarded over and sealed permanently. A window could be installed. Also paying in cash was not obvious to us. We had to go to an ATM to ensure we had cash. We got a neat handwritten receipt; but they should really also accept credit cards! The cash-only is not written on the booking I printed out to bring with me, at all. It may be elsewhere online but it should appear on the booking I printed out.
Very friendly helpful staff. Neither of them owns the place; both were very helpful and friendly. Great location - on the main street, with free parking directly outside the door. Very comfortable bed in a comfortable warm room. Breakfast was lovely: strong fresh coffee; orange juice; porridge; and a small cooked breakfast of a fried egg, three sausages and two rashers (bacon), and some toast. A lovely comfortable couch in the breakfast room to relax for a while just after breakfast, looking out on the main street. Great for two nights to attend a festival in the area over the weekend. We were out all day both days.
