Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Really amazing!! Stayed no breakfast included but the host included farm fresh eggs and bread, butter, cereal and milk in the fridge. So good! And 2 little Lindors in the bowl on the kitchen table when we arrived. Very good location too, only 5 mins drive away from Doolin centre

The bed was a little soft for me and the pillows too hard and flat, but these things are personal preference and others may find them to be perfect
Our host was very friendly and knocked on the door with fresh farm eggs for us. We appreciated her suggestions about where we could visit next. The apartment is in a beautiful quiet location and has everything you could need.

It’s a bit away from the village but we were provided with Taxi numbers by the host so it wasn’t a problem.
It was modern, clean, everything we needed was there and the hosts were very accommodating.

The apartment was spotless,modern and very homely! The decor was beautiful and cozy, bed super comfy.There was fresh eggs,bread, milk, teabags, coffee and some chocolate were there when we arrived which i did not expect at all! Nice surprise! location was perfect as we were attending a wedding in Doolin -literally 3 mins drive away

A bit remote, but very quiet.

Close to Cliffs of Moher which makes a visit there easy at any time of day. Lovely, clean and quiet apartment. Extra accommodating kitchen with milk, eggs, some cereal, olive oil and salt and pepper. Great place!

Very nice apartment; 3 minutes drive from the Doolin center .. Silent place; apartment seems quite new and super clean; kitchen fully equipped; bed is confortable (even, as per other places in Ireland, size is smaller than we are accustomed); free car parking onsite; friendly host, they provided some milk, butter, marmelade, water for free..

Nothing at all! I had a wonderful stay.
I stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a wonderful base to explore the Cliffs of Moher and Inishmore. The property is almost brand new, spotlessly clean, quiet and peaceful. Things like breakfast cereal and eggs were a lovely bonus. The host was really kind and checked with me by email to see if things were ok.

Martha was exceptionally helpful the apartment was very clean and bright and well equipped also she had left food to make tea on our arrival she couldn't have been more helpful location was very good,we would definitely stay there again. Thank you Martha.

Nothing to dislike, everything was wonderful! There was even a dishwasher for longer stays. Definitely home away from home
Our host Martha had cereals, bread butter eggs and milk ready for us in the morning. There was nothing she didn’t think of. Very impressed and only 3 mins drive from the village. The apartment was gorgeous, modern and warm. Highly recommend a stay here!!
