The room was too warm, couldn't open the window because of traffic noise

The receptionist wasn't friendly at all. On our second day, we left room at 1pm, when we left, housekeeping was still busy in our corridor. We.left.the sign on the door that the room was empty and ready to be cleaned, we came back.at 5pm and our room was not touched, We had no clean towels, beds not made, bedding not changed and obviously the trash was not taken. We had a newborn and a toddler with us in the room and obviously had a lot of trash. The receptionist didn't do anything to rectify this other than tell us that housekeeping has gone home already and just gave us 2 clean towels and a plastic bag for our rubbish. For €300 for 2 nights, one would have expected that we.be given a clean room instead. This ruined our experience in the hotel and is not a place we would return to ever or recommend to anyone else.

The location is nice, food places very close by and 30min only 30min away.

I had to leave!

Food is excellent and staff are attentive and friendly. Housekeeping staff are non-invasive while keeping room well supplied and clean. My third year here and great stay as before.

Rooms were Iver heated woke up every hour. We rang reception to lower temperature but it remained very warm

Nothing wrong with the hotel but organize your taxi early if going to Doolin.

They couldn't bring down room temperature in room 114. We asked twice to re-regulate the room temp down to about 10°C or under but they couldn't. They sent a member of staff to look at the radiators but they were off

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was easy to find the hotel. Our room was comfortable. We added a nice breakfast. There is a lovely bog walk at the back of the hotel.

The hotel in major need of an upgrade . The Decor and the bathrooms in a poor state. The room was dated and not like the images shown on Booking.com. The room wasn't particularly clean with some bad stains on the base of one of the beds. The bathroom was in a bad state of repair. Overall not worth the money paid.

The hotel was in an ideal location between Cork and Belfast to break up the commute. Food in the bar in the evening was good and the barman was friendly. The bed was comfortable.

Food & drink was not good, vegetables were flavourless, chicken was pan fried but had a very oily taste, pint of Coors was dead, like it was sitting in the glass for hrs, cleanliness of bedside locker was dirty & wet, whoever stayed in that room before us had spilled something over the top of the locker & it hadn't been cleaned

Everything was likable about this beautiful setting in Abbeleix…especially the Bog trail! Lots of walking trails, good food and so many birds and plants, too.

Lovely hotel, low level, great reception, lovely welcome. Good size rooms, Windows that open, great tv, great wifi great beds, great bathrooms. Good kettles and spines. Cleaning ladies are brilliant. Location is so good because it is beside all these marvellous walks a d the town has shops, restaurants, history.
