Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumAt the reception desk, they told us that check-out was at noon... however, they came knocking on the door to ask us to leave the room at 11 a.m. At 3:30 a.m., a girl knocked on our door insistently... she was drunk and had gone to the wrong room.
The only good thing about this accommodation is that it is located right in the center, very close to the Temple Bar area.

Irelandas you are located inside temple bar , you wont sleep early, as the noise from the street will disturb you to the max . The curtains at the windows doesnt block the light . there is no lock cages for your personal things .
location is just there, where you go for fun in a night out.

PolandI’m not sure if this issue affects all rooms, but room 23 on the second floor - and likely the adjacent rooms and those on other floors - suffers from noise. The ventilation system, which probably belongs to the neighboring pizzeria, runs until 2 - 4 a.m. and produces a loud, low-frequency droning sound at around 100 Hz. The noise measures about 64 dB, similar to a vacuum cleaner or plane. It resonates throughout the room and even penetrates earplugs because of its low, thumping nature, making sleep difficult. This was far more disturbing than any street noise from Temple Bar. If you’re planning to party late into the night and only need a place to crash, this might work for you.
The location is perfect for enjoying Dublin’s nightlife in Temple Bar. The staff is efficient and helpful, and the bathrooms, as well as the overall cleanliness of the hostel, are quite decent.

ItalyOur room was on the ground floor (behind a code-locked door) while the toilets and bathrooms were upstairs (behind another code-locked door) and it didn’t make for the most comfortable stay. There was also no hot water in the bathrooms except for the showers.
Really good value for money, the position is perfect and there is a lot of things to do and see nearby. The staff is kind and friendly and the hostel was really clean.

United StatesNot necessarily a dislike, but it’s paired with the pizzeria next door of the same name. The staff from the pizzeria may have to come grab you if the receptionist is out.
Fantastic location! Right by the Temple bar district but not on an actual bar street and super close to a Spar grocery store. A simple place but a great value.

Czech Republic- The hostel is very old and not really maintained but in general OK. The problem was that we were offered a room for 6 persons without any windows or any ventilation at all with a sign that the doors needs to be closed all the time. The guy at the reception was very helpful and nice but he told us that the place was full. He put us on the call with the owner. She was very rude and told us that she did not care at all and asked us to leave immediately. That was really eval on Friday night when everything was full and we made the reservation more then a month in advance. After 1 night we were offered a proper room with windows. Still we had to really fight for that and the manager's attitude was horrible. - Also it seems the hostel is not just for the travelers but also for the people who are living there and working in Dublin in food delivery ... quite a sad place :(
The location is great but that's it ....

AustraliaThere was no signs for the hostel anywhere- had to go to the adjoining pizza place for directions and wait 10min outside ringing the doorbell. The rooms were clean and spacious however the bed was so uncomfortable and the noise from outside was so loud may as well of been outside. The toilets wouldn’t flush and everything in the bathroom you could too hear form the room.
Only good thing about this hostel was the location.

United KingdomThe room was absolutely tiny which is not conveyed in the pictures. The mattresses are thin and you can feel the springs through them. Bedding was very dire. Pillows were so thin I bought some cheap pillows from Penney's. Shower is weak and not particularly hot. Whole place feels a little bit dirty and dingy. It was one of the cheaper options in the city but still was not particularly good value for money and fell short of my expectations.
Location is fantastic if you don't mind the street noise. There were several toilets available on the floor on which we stayed. Check in was easy considering we arrived very late at night.

United StatesThe rooms are incredibly small. We didn’t expect much but we couldn’t even open the door without maneuvering with our backpacks on. On the surface it didn’t look dirty exactly, but it did seem a very grimy type of dirty. The staff all seemed like none of them knew what they were doing so renting a towel took hours. Since there’s no a/c, we had to open our windows which wouldn’t be an issue if the street below wasn’t insanely loud until 530am. Which was on us, we knew we were staying close to the louder part of the city, we just maybe didn’t do enough research to realize just how freaking loud!
The property is very walkable. Places like Trinity College, Dublin castle, and Temple Bar are all just a few minutes walk. There’s also a car park just a few minutes walk from the hostel which is helpful in those big car park only areas!

AustraliaWe opted for late check in however no one was there to let us in. We were standing in the street with all our belongings until a fellow guest opened the door for us and a worker from the pizza place next door gave us our key.
The location was very convenient and central. Only a 5-10 minute walk to Temple bar and other restaurants. The room was very spacious and the shared facilites were well kept.

NetherlandsThe mattress was horrible, I’ve had back pain for 2 nights. The curtain was see through which is silly when there are street lights in front of the window, couldn’t sleep due to the feeling of daylight and the amount of noise of drunk people outside. The window couldn’t close properly. The rooms were small and ok if you do not pay more than 100 euro a night.

CanadaAs with many hostels (not all)..shared bathroom. Expected for us but just a heads up a pair of shower shoes or flip flops you will appreciate.
Exactly what you would expect for a hostel in a big city, so no surprise there. (I have stayed at worse and at better hostels) Adequate. Access to campus and entertainment is easy. A very busy area so noisy but that also wasn't a surprise. Bring your ear plugs.

IrelandPillows was so flat and used i had to fold it to get any sort of cushion. Duvet was old and too light. Windows where closed but still felt the air coming in. Roof seating area was non existent. Tables where advertised on the website but when I went up the roof was flooded and only had a steel small table. New photos need to be updated as nothing was what was advertised.
Location was very good. Shop close by, and easy access to the hostel.
