We've stayed at thr gate for years and liked the fact you could pay for breakfast at time of booking and have it in murrays. We didn't realise they no longer deal with murrays

I was QUOTED 77 EURO for the nights stay on February 2nd. I booked the room at that rate.. I WAS SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED when I found that BOOKING.COM had debited 90 EURO from my account...way above my budget....despite being quoted 77 and being a GENIUS BOOKER...I contacted the Gate Hotel..they said to contact you.very disappointed in Book.com

I stayed at the Gate hotel once before I found it good and just about affordable for me at 77 euro for the night.Im a pensioner on a limited budget..I booked as a genius booker and I got a reduction.70 euro is really my limit..

Because of the pub downstairs, the loud noise kept in going until 3am. The carpet going all around the room did not seem very clean.

The location was well-connected, near the city centre, the room and bathroom were quite spacious and the overal feeling was cozy, the heating worked perfectly. The room was fully equiped with hairdrier, iron and table for ironing.

The outside of the hotel isn't great, to be fair. It's easy to miss it & it's quite dingy outside. It could do with a bit of sprucing up, maybe some modernisation or a lick of paint Otherwise, it was a very reasonably priced hotel for the heart of Dublin City

What I didn't liked is staff approach, not the person who was checking me in, but all the other ones. The entrance set up the way is that you have to ring the bell and reception will buzz in the door. Then when making the way to the room they are looking at you and asking questions who the hell you are and what you want here. I have paid for the room to be left alone and not being bothered by anyone! And at check out time, as I'm always late, well it's pretty early time too, should be 12 pm if you ask me, so reception person came to the door and knocked and told me "I give you 5 more minutes"... What the heck was that? A phone call would suffice as other hotels do with a reminder of check out time. So I paid money to be treated like a scumbag. Not coming back again only due to working there people behavior!

Bed was comfy, shower pressure very good. Room was basic, clean enough, but had everything what was needed.

When i checked in the room was very warm probably due to the heating system. It took a bit of time to cool down. Got a headache from the heat.

Booking did not include breakfast. Great location for anything you want tobdo in Dublin. I had come for an exam and thexam center is just about 800m away

It was VERY noisy. There is a bar directly below and the band was playing from 9pm-2am with the drumming and music booming through my room the whole time. Great place to stay if you plan to be out partying until 2 am or can sleep through it all, but not great for relaxing/watching TV.

The decor is super cool. The location is great. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is a parking, but it is about 10min walking from the hotel. They write that they have parking, but You pay for parking, but the hotel give you a parking disc with discount 40% (this is not written inthe description). And you can also here really good what people are doing in rooms which are near.

Good location and quality for this price. There is coffee, milk, cups in the room. It is clean.

Reception staff acted more like security staff, other than that I was more than happy 😃

Excellent location, room was comfy with tea and coffee. Bathroom was clean and the heating was great as it was a very cold night.
