As a BnB type property, there were no shampoos and body wash. Perhaps this is one area they can look into in improving.

Location was excellent. Staff were friendly especially Michelle (front desk) ,...she was great in providing recommendation on restaurant(s). Room was clean.

Would of been nice to have a bottle of water in the room . Also only a minor thing the bathroom was tiny and the bedroom was large - could have given a bit more room in the bathroom . Also was a drain smell once we had used the shower but it didn’t bother us too much .

We only stayed overnight so didn’t get chance to eat in the restaurant . The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable .

Stayed at the Gateway as we were attending a wedding near by. We literally only slept in the room as we arrived back late at night and left first thing next day. The room was perfect for this. It’s not luxurious but it’s functional. The best part was the breakfast- it was amazing. Would definitely stay again

A few minutes walk from the old centre of charming Donegal town, this mid-size hotel was very comfortable and clean. Loads of parking on-site, good WiFi and a large comfy bed made this a very pleasant stay. The breakfast (paid separately) was great, served by enthusiastic staff it was well-worth the extra.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was superb. Location perfect. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend the Gateway Lodge.

You can hear people in rooms beside and above you a bit easily. A little soundproofing would go a long way :-)

Arrived late, but night porter Pat was waiting up for me, and was a gentleman. Had a great chat. Done in an american motel style with a courtyard with rooms opening directly to the outside. Very novel, and actually quite enjoyed it. Had breakfast in Blás next door in the morning. Very nice breakfast.

We thought the price was a bit on the expensive side.

Plenty of parking space at the front of the property. Well placed for walking into town. Room was a bit small but bed was large and comfortable. Very nice bathroom with quality installations. Tea and coffee making facilities available. The breakfast was excellent. Staff in restaurant very efficient and friendly.

The Gateway is in a lovely location just on the edge of the centre of town. very quiet but close to everything. 5 minute walk to stores and restaurants. Room was clean, comfortable and a good size. Staff were helpful and the restaurant was very good.

The hill leading up to the hotel is something to fight with. Its small but steep (but thats not something you can help)

Was told that the breakfast was really good and did not disappoint!! Staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels replenished ut the cleaning staff never bothered you if you were in. Would definately recommend this hotel to anyone!!
