Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandWe had a continuous problem with the water in our en-suite which was not resolved during our stay despite efforts to do so. However upon checkout we were given compensation.

United StatesA bit long in the tooth. Decor was confused as to who it was trying to be and inconsistent with the building. Seemed a bit slap dash. The faucet for the hot water was not secure in the sink.
It was quiet, easy to walk about the village and had great parking. The staff were very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and generous with good selection. The shower was very good, clean and easy to access.

United KingdomThe sash window in the bathroom wouldn’t open and there was an unpleasant smell in there. I reported it to the desk so I hope it gets resolved.

IrelandOur room was above the bar so for those who would find it difficult to drift off to sleep with music, ie my husband, this would have been an issue, but as he wasn't with us it was no problem. But if I'm to book again and with him I would request a room not over the bar.
Food was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful. It has an old world charm, which myself and my boys loved, to have a key for your room and not a fob, that was a novelty for them. The location was fantastic and definitely value for money

IrelandBreakfast needs some organisation. Poor fruit choice. Excellent outdoor terrace but no food service there, which is very odd. Also, we were told by bar waiter that it was not allowed to bring food purchased in Hotel out to terrace ???. We did get an ok for this on request from Manager but it was a bit strange!!!!
Super location. Great view of bay from upstairs room. Lovely cliff walk nearby and also a forest walk. A trip on the car ferry to Ballyhack and drive around Hook Peninsula to the Hook lighthouse was excellent.

IrelandWe stayed in what was a triple room single and double beds. The room was reasonably well decorated and for the most part pleasant however the bathroom was tiny and the far corner of the room had sockets past the single bed.. not very accessible.. the room was ok for 2 bit to be honest for 3 it was a little crowded. The second morning breakfast was not as nice and the staff seemed less pleasant.. not necessarily rude but not as friendly as before.
Location great 👍 and the hotel has character. Staff accommodating as I requested 2 beds as stayed with mum. Then my sister joined for second night . There was a pull out “stool” for both cases abd the towels were fluffy with nice clean bedding. Breakfast had good choices .. tge first day the pancakes were v tasty ( had some of mums).. I had the mini cooked breakfast and cereal and lovely fresh fruit. Servers v attentive and pleasant. I gut extra water and ice for the room which was no bother..

IrelandThe room we were staying in was above the bar. We had a 7 year old with us. Which was included in the booking. So it was very noisy.
