Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandFood was very disappointing , bread was dreadful , two residents in the table infront of me didnt eat their food and they were not happy with it at all I thought the room was not safe , located in a cottage outside the main hotel with the front door always left opened , so felt I was exposed and didnt feel safe ..
The location is great close to the beach, light house and shops

IrelandWe waited for 25 minutes at the table for the coffee we ordered and it did not arrive .My wife got her tea and we asked for milk as there was no milk on the table.I went and asked if my coffee would be arriving and the waitress told me they were brewing a new pot of coffee.I had asked for a vegetarian breakfast and because I don't eat eggs and was not having the mushrooms after my experience the night before asked if I could have some cheese and was told they did not have any cheese for breakfast . It really was a terrible experience and after hearing the waitress comment to the other I felt very uncomfortable .We checked out and at the front desk I told the lady we were sorry about handing back the dinner and never had done that before .She was extreamly unfriendly and with an angry look and sarcasm said this matter is being dealt with internally ..I asked her politely if there was a change of chef and her answer was the same as before but the tone was more dismissive. Its being deal with internally and totally disengaged .She was extreamly rude .This was our experience and it was the worst hotel experience we had .We were in a garden room and it had no wifi .
Not a whole lot to be honest . We had dinner in the resturant and had to hand it back .My wife had sea food chowder and it was the worst she ever had it seemed to be liquidised..The starter I had were mushrooms that were not cooked .We did not complain about the starter just did not eat it .I had pasta for my main course and it was like pasta in a bowl of water .The waitress even agreed it did not look good. The waitress was very nice and said there was no charge .The following morning we went for breakfast and we thought like the morning before we would walk in and seat ourselfs. But we did not see there was a couple waiting to be seated so of course we were more that happy to wait to be seated .We were seated and one waitress said to the other you are not to serve them before the first couple .If she had we would have redirected her to their table .We were the last people in the resturant to be served.

IrelandThe room we booked was not in the hotel but in the grounds of the hotel. We were not aware of this while booking. The room was tiny and it was the smallest bed I have ever selpt in as an adult. The shower did not have any hot water and the TV did not work.
Staff were great. Food was delicious. Location was amazing.

United StatesMy room was on the bottom floor with views interrupted by a large covered patio area for parties right outside my window, feeling somewhat paranoid with work staff moving things about. But beautiful; vistas could be seen in other areas of the Hotel.
Loved attention to detail by all the Staff, staff was warm and welcoming and the breakfast included with my stay was fabulous with several choices! Centrally located in town, easy walking to upper & lower town.

IrelandView from room was the side of the carpark. Room was situated over the bar. There was loud music til approx.1.30am in the bar, followed by a sing song til approx.2.30 which was followed by chatter. It was after 3am before I got to sleep. Awoke at 4am to quietness....twas heaven. Had to get up at 8am/8.15 am for breakfast as I had places to go.
Breakfast was nice.

Room was spacious, warm, comfortable with teas coffee and some water available which is a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable. Great bar with good atmosphere. Overall lots of friendly staff working so always easy to get food or drinks and any help. Breakfast was delicious & again service was excellent. Christmas market outside the hotel which was a bonus. I look forward to returning and staying again in the summer for a change. Thank you for a very restful break. Only fault was that we didn’t book two nights.

IrelandThe hotel caters as a music venue, so in the evening it's a bit more like a rammed bar/nightclub than a hotel, we were in some annex rooms to the side and there was a lot of fairly drunk people floating about, there are also coaches sitting outside the room with the engine running so you are getting noise from all directions plus a fight thrown in for good measure.
