Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaFor me I think it was too many people the first night..the one bathroom wasn't enough for everyone I waited for a hour.. when you're at a hostel there is usually more facilities and guests are more aware that other people also use/ need so try to get in get out..the second night was better..less guests and more aware of each other. A nice place but you are just renting a room above a family
The owners were very friendly..and welcoming..

GermanyThe hosts are incredibly accommodating and friendly. The neighborhood is calm and peaceful, and there's a bus stop just around the corner (takes ~20 min to reach the city center). I didn't find myself lacking anything during my stay.

The hosts are super friendly and helpful. Free parking, very close to a bus stop and a litte mall+McDonald's and other restaurants/pubs. 20-minute-drive to city centre where you can park in Phoenix Park (North Rd.) for free. From there 30-minute-walk to St Patrick's through the wonderful park and along the Liffey.

IrelandIt was double booked so the bigger room they put me in to for the first night was the hosts room with all their stuff in a sitting room downstairs.. Their 10 year old boy walked in on me. Couldn't wait to get out.

GermanyIt's not really centrally located in Dublin, but once you're familiar with the bus schedule, it's not that big of a deal. It is also much cheaper than directly in the city center.
I was there for a 5 day stay in Dublin. The host family lives right next door and they are just super nice and helpful. I was directly given a map of Dublin and explained how to get where to which sights. In addition, there was also a detailed info on arrival, as I come best from the airport to the pension. Also the possibility to use a kitchen on site was perfect. But you also got on demand info on the nearby supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.

United KingdomThe Hideout is absolutely wonderful - great value for money, the owners are super helpful (giving us ideas of things to do, recommending a bus pass, and showing us around), the location is ideal (just a 30min bus into central Dublin), and it provides a quick (cereal) breakfast. The bunk-beds are comfy and warm - the bedrooms are also fairly large with lots of boardgames! The pictures do not do them justice - and the facilities (showers etc) were spotless. We really enjoyed staying here, and will definitely be returning.

IrelandThe bathroom was shared and the whole property was more like a hostel and thus too expensive for what it offered. Location wasn’t ideal.
During the night it was quiet enough and I could come and go as I pleased. I had my own space.
