The rooms were very comfortable, and spacious. The location is quite convenient, although a little too far from the city centre to walk (15-20 mins to Eyre Square), so we drove into and out of town. Plenty of parking right outside the hotel

I had a hard time getting comfortable to use my laptop. The one armchair was just too big (I’m 5 feet tall). The bench at the desk was too low to use the laptop there. An office chair with adjustable height would be a very welcome addition to the existing furniture.

Breakfast was good — lots of choices. As always, more than I could eat. Very helpful woman at reception. Free parking is a plus, especially in Galway City. There is a bus stop not far from the hotel with buses that run frequently. Easy to get in the center of town without need to drive the car and find parking. Cab ride back from the top of Eyre Square was less than nine euro. Room was large. Twin sinks in the bathroom would be useful for a couple. Remote-controlled shades blocked out all of the nighttime lights. Building is almost too secure — room card needed to get through several doorways as well as into reception after hours.

The air conditioning we had to open the windows every night, but we were distracted with loud sirens and car horns, etc.

Very comfortable stay. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good with excellent parking facilities. Would recommend and look forward to staying at The Huntsman Inn again.

An early breakfast option would be great, if only some kind of takeaway option, especially for weekday work stays.

This is a fabulous hotel in a really central location. Suprisingly its also really quiet in the rooms and the facilities in the rooms are really comfortable. I often stay here, when it's available because the beds are so comfy, the food in the bar is top class, everything is super clean and it's really great value for money. Reluctant to give it such a high rating in case demand increases and it means I miss out, but it's hard to complain about the Huntsman Inn.

I stopped in Galway for just a night and this hotel went beyond my expectations. The room and the toilet were huge, clean, and well-equipped. The staff was the nicest, both at the reception and at the restaurant. The food was really good. The bus stop to reach the city centre is located just outside the hotel, but even by walking the city centre us not too far. Definitely a place to check out if you going to Galway!

Minor - but Duvet a little too heavy/warm for my liking but otherwise all excellent.

Very nice room - efficient pre-reg and check-in - quiet and well equipped - very happy overall - good value. Lovely quality Irish toietries a nice touch. Had a nice dinner in Restaurant. Great service and decor. Plenty of parking.
