Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Communication prior to arrival could have been better, but everything worked out perfectly once we got there.
Perfect Killarney location for a party, with entertainment all night. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, no complaints. Be prepared for noise, which is clearly communicated by the hotel in advance.

An indication on how to check out. I came to the front and there was a lady cleaning and I didn tknwo where to leave my key card. I left it on a shelf and just walked out. I never got breakfast. There was no lobby or restaurant. It was more like a hostel that way

There was no lift and i was on the 3rd floor, didnt make any difference to me but just be aware if your not good on your feet.
Excellent location, very comfortable room and bed. Nice shower and very clean bathroom. I had been aware that there would be noise from the entertainment but the hotel went to the trouble of providing earplugs (werent really neccessary). The heater in the room was very effective, I dont normally like too much heat in Hotel rooms but it was a cold night so 10 minutes of havong the heater on and it was at the perfect temperature for my needs, nice and simple, plug it in and then plug it out, no trying to work out thermostats etc.

The nightclub noise is painful although we knew it would be there and we did not get in until 1am. Ear plugs are provided but the bass rocks through you. Appreciate it is the venues work but it is such a shame because the quality of the rooms is so good.

I was on the second floor overlooking the street. They have live music seven days a week. During the day they have outdoor speakers on and very loud even though the bar could be closed. I couldn't dampen the noise as the window's are single glazed and old style. Then you have the live music later and conditions got worse. The thud coming through was extremely annoying even with the tv up loud. Tried the provided ear plugs but made no difference

There is a slight funk of age/dampness to the rooms. Booked for 2ppl and got one set of towels. Staff was eager to help but only provided additional bathmats. Overall the accommodation aspect of Killarney agrand is not the hotel, but it is centrally located and affordable. Don’t stay if a light sleeper.
Room was large, clean and shower was hot and strong.

On the main street beside everything. Large comfortable room. Great live music venue but probably not suited for those who need to sleep before 02:30am as sound travels up to the rooms from the band and club below.

Anyone planning to stay here should be aware that the band plays in the bar downstairs until 2:00 a.m.. it wasn't a real problem for me and the staff did provide ear plugs. But, those that are noise sensitive might want to pick a different location.
Staff and location were great. It's 8-minute walk from the train station to the hotel My room had a Jacuzzi tub. I didn't use it, but it's there for the next person if they want to request that amenity.

Very noisy until 2:30am There is a night club below and some of the guests were the worse for drink. Fortunately for me I was too tired to care and slept fairly well.
