An older hotel but spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a particular highlight.

Some of the decor could have been outdated but at the same time this is what may add to the experinece of this unique location. Its very uniqueness could possibly be marketed more leading to more business for the hotel.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were brilliant. I loved the food we had. The staff are amazing and so friendly and it really is people that leave a lasting memory and the people here were really friendly and went out of the way to ensure we had a great experinece here. I discussed with my wife how much I enjoyed it here and we want to return in the near future to this wonderful place.

There was too much religious figure on display and holy water in the room felt a bit too much. If they spent that kind of money on facilitating Netflix on the tv in the room it would be better spent.

The restaurant and bar are dated and cold. The bathroom in the room is dated and could do with a full fit out. Thers a lovely fireplace in the reception area that should be lit which would give that warm welcome feeling.

Couldn’t fault the property, rooms currently being modernised which is good, Small family hotel carrying out improvements which take time and money so folk should be patient and support this family run hotel

Staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is quiet and the location is perfect if you want to catch the ferry to the other side of the bay. You can have breakfast or evening meal. We were allowed to put our bikes inside, which we appreciated.

The hotels decor isn't for everyone but it's non offensive and homely. Holy statues in lobby might put some people off but ... Room was large, had a fridge, four poster bed and was clean. I was needing a bed for the night and I got it.

We arrived at midnight and the night manager couldn't have done more for us. Extremely friendly man.

Not their fault, but the road outside is intrusive noisewise all night. Meant you couldn't open the windows and it was pretty stuffy.

Bathroom needs refurb. Window pane in our room cracked Windows desperately need cleaning inside and out and cobwebs of long standing cleaned. In a restaurant this isn't acceptable. We had passed in previous years and thought it was empty due to the outside appearance. If the owners cleaned up outside and attended to the State of the windows and cobwebs it could be a lovely place reminiscent of days gone by when we've visited.

Friendliness of staff, comfortable bed. Fridge in room and bottled water. Lots of hot water for baths/showers . Lovely samosas and spring rolls and steak in restaurant.

On entry the pungent overpowering smell of curry and spices which caused my husband who has a lung disease to lose his breath The " best room" was dated damp and mildewed in the bathroom especially.The tissue paper holder and shower were covered in rust The tiles were brown with mildew and the sink and surround was cracked. The duvet barely covered the bed My husband spent the short time in the bedroom on his inhaler It was dark dingy dirty and depressing We were looking for somewhere near Listowel but this was 15 minutes in the middle of nowhere, from listowel

Our breakfast was beautiful, the owners are really kind and accommodating. The cleanliness was everywhere. Bathroom and Shower was lovely, I'd swap for ours at home. Its decor is not 2024, it has it's own character, but has everything else, value for money , respect ful ,helpful staff and food and bar facilities were all we wished for . Its location is ideal for driving too places in Kerry and ferry to clare from Tarbert. Thanks for a lovely stay . Hilary
