Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff were fabulous as usual. The room and breakfast were amazing. We loved the Savoy even more than last time and we'll be back!

I didn't like that. I got charged twice before I even got to the hotel. But to be fair, they upgraded us and gave us a free run of a lovely lounge with treats and refreshments. We went for a walk around then when we came back. I asked for two glasses to be sent up to the room, and they never came. I mentioned it downstairs, and they gave us two glasses of proseco free of charge. I usually don't bother saying anything, but for a 5-star hotel, I would expect them to have everything perfect and pay attention to detail.
The location was perfect. The hotel itself was really nice. The price was good for a 5 star.

They did not have a parking unfortunately, whilst they do have an agreement with the mall in front of them for parking, but that wasn’t very convenient for us with our luggage and 2 kids!!

There was a smell at first when entering the room after opening a window and letting in some air it went .

Upgrading to the executive King wasn't really worth it plus no bath. We went to the bar for some food and the guy that seated us didn't give us a choice if we were there for drinks and or food, he just said drinks and pointed to a seat and walked off.
The room and location were brilliant. Staff at check in/out desks were friendly and polite

The service could have been better. Staff was very nice but the hotel restaurants lacked order and seemed like the right hand didn’t know what the left was doing. Breakfast on our last day was our first at the hotel and it was a mess. Facilities are nice, room was big and fit us all, although more storage for clothing would be good.

One of the mornings it was v noisy outside with Lorry’s , deliveries etc at 6/7am when the bedroom window was opened as would need the window open to prevent room getting too stuffy overnight

One member of staff was quite unhelpful, surprising given cost of staying there and it being a five star hotel. Also, in our room the phone didn't work and not sure the air conditioning did either. Cost of breakfast is also too high. It could be cheaper for children at the very least.

Room was extremely spacious and modern. All staff were extremely positive and helpful. Upgraded room which gave us access to executive lounge which is a must see in this hotel! Bar staff work incredibly hard and fast. Staff at reception were very informative and lovely. Such a wide range for breakfast and lovely atmosphere staff are A1! Beautiful modern hotel. Smack bang in city near to everything.

Super convenient, the staff were wonderful. Loved the spa onsite. Juliette was great, totally recommend her if you are booking. The room had everything and the beds were comfy.
