To stay great staff only roadside parking my only thing I did not like but everything else was perfect

Staff was friendly and professional. Restaurant and pub top shelf. Bedding, especially the pillows, were outstanding. Love the funky decor.

Kudos to the housekeeping staff- Everything was spotless! No formal parking-had to park on busy street. Don’t bother getting breakfast, was a downer.

I liked everything. I’ve stayed in the property a number of times and have always been very pleased. on this occasion I noticed a lapse in standards with regard to maintenance. the handle was broken on the inside of the shower door, the bulb was blown in the tall lamp, the plug in the bath didn’t fit correctly.

On arrival realised that the hotel had no parking facilities you had to park on the street provided you could get a space. On the first night we booked into the restaurant for 20:00 hrs not knowing that was the time for last orders, resulting in the food being sub standard to say the least, Our second day came to a shambles when we realised there was no hot water to shower, informed the front desk of problem, even so the problem was not resolved, and the following morning the water was lukewarm, following a cold shower the night before not good enough, but I will say that the food in the restaurant the second night was excellent as we booked early, our experience was one we will no be repeating.

The Staff were excellent, especially the restaurant staff whom went out of their way to help

I have never stayed in an Irish hotel that served tea as a cup of hot water with a tea bag in it. Several guests including ourselves complained about this and we were told it was for health & safety reasons. If that is the case why do all of the other Irish hotels and golf clubs serve tea in a tea pot?

Room wasn't ready when we arrived which was ok but were told we would get a phone call to let us know as we were in the restaurant in the hotel. two hrs later approx. we enquired & were casually told oh I forgot to call, it was annoying because we had a long car journey & were very tired.

Absolute extortionate prices and misleading information on the website regarding facilities. There is no ‘free parking’ what is offered is on street parking which is available to anyone who enters the town so should not be advertised as a facility offered by this hotel. It is not guaranteed either. The price of the room was scandalous and no breakfast included - extra €20 for breakfast. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you would stay in a 5 star in New York for cheaper. Robbery. Also, the fact that you are told on checkout that you should book directly because it is cheaper - this isn’t the Hilton, you got the business as booking.com are marketing it for you, that is not a licence to rob people.

The room and facilities were a bit tired and in need of maintenance in some areas.

The staff were all welcoming and very accommodating. The restaurant and bar were very welcoming and service was prompt and polite. Breakfast was perfectly cooked to order. The proximity to Carne Golf Links was a big plus.
