Nothing - was much better than i was expecting

Was very pleasantly surprised to get a whole house with private entrance for our stay. Lovely house, spotlessly clean with some fresh wheaten bread and jams left out for arrival.

The room we stayed in (quadruple with private en-suite) looked nothing like the picture. I would not have paid the money we did for the room, it genuinely looked more like a prison than a nice hostel. It was disappointing to expect the modern, clean, bright colors of the pictures and instead walk in to a tiny dark room with old creaky faded bunk beds.It was also the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, and that’s saying something. The pillow was probably a centimeter thick and the mattress was so rock solid firm it negated the purpose of having a mattress. The worst part by far, however, was the fact that my friend and I literally got flashed and the employees were not only unhelpful but also completely dismissive about it?!? We had actually paid extra to have a room to ourselves (the quadruple was the only one available but we paid 122 euros for it!!! Instead of the 20 ish price for one bed in the room) for the express purpose of being able to feel safe as two teenage girls traveling. But the old timey keys for the door apparently didn’t work because at 5am a fully naked grown man came into our (locked) room. And he was definitely high or drunk or both because he was stumbling around talking to himself and moaning and he started rummaging through the covers on (thankfully the other) bunk bed. Meanwhile we were literally terrified, basically hiding and worried that we were about to be SA’d. I immediately messaged the hostel for help only to not receive an answer (they answered me back at probably 8am with a message saying only the en-suite was private. And the message included a smiley face right after I said a naked man was in our room?!? And do we not have the right to privacy after paying for our own room??). We eventually got him to leave and literally had to unlock the door for him (again, because we had locked it and had no idea how he got in). But we were so shocked and scared that we of course couldn’t go back to sleep.

The hostel is well located and pretty central, and we really really loved the pub (Caribou) right down the street. It was also pretty clean and we really liked that they had a luggage room free of charge. We didn’t get to go to breakfast but it’s nice that it was included.

On the bad side, the toilets had no loo roll. The room faced into several bars on the street I wasn't told about so there was noise til 12:30-1 and then they starting stocking the kegs at 6am which went on for about an hour. If you don't know what that sounds like it is essentially knocking large metal kegs off a truck and rolling them into the pub stock room, it is very noisy. I couldn't find my card when I was leaving and was charged even though it could only have been in my room and I couldn't look because people were still in bed. I asked if I could get a refund if they found my card in the room and the woman and reception was not willing to do that. I wouldn't book there again

The two receptionists were super nice, the best attitude even in the middle of the night. Kitchen is very modern and with lots of space, so three of us could cook without a problem. Very big eating space, would recommend to anyone. Location in the middle of centre and 2 minutes walk away from a cheap parking.

The place was good but don't have them do you laundry, we specifically asked for 2 loads (light and dark) and our light clothes came back a different color.

Had a fantastic stay in this hostel. Very friendly staff and everything from the bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas were spotlessly clean. Great location, cool staff, comfy beds. Highly recommend

Unfortunately, I was allocated the top bunk of the 3-level bunk bed, which shouldn't be a thing, given that the distance from the ceiling was minuscule and even being super careful, I banged my head in the dark, because there was just no way to tell. So someone who had a concussion before could really struggle. Also, the ladder to this bed (and only this bed, other bunks were normal 2-level beds with a decent ladder) was made of thin rods that painfully dug into the soles of my feet, which was an additional source of pain, considering the 3rd level bunk, highest floor in the hostel, and having a bad knee.

The kitchen was fairly clean and the staff were helpful enough to switch my bed for the last night of the 3-day stay.

WiFi was quite slow We had to ask our bed sheets to be replaced as they had hairs and stains from previous usage On a 3 night stay our access cards got reset and had to wait to the staff to reconfigure it Room had a heavy musty smell Kitchen staff were not particularly pleasant As a tall person my feet were constantly hitting the bar at the end of the bed

The room itself and bathroom are tiny. Towels are for rent. It might be good for students on a budget, but if you expect to get at least minimal comfort then this place is not for you.

The location is fantastic, a few steps from the main street.
