Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandAfter a restful night in a lovely room we were looking forward to the breakfast which we had read great things about. We had booked the last sitting (9.45am), our room was across the road from the restaurant area, we arrived at 9.48 and were greated by the pleasant receptionist who showed us where to go. However the waitress looked annoyed and checked a guest list in the kitchen, we heard someone comment that we should have been there at 9.45, to which the waitress came out and said “you’re late”. We were shocked, I showed her the time on my phone and she replied that we should have been there at 9.45 (it was now 9.49). We sat down and felt so embarrassed and uncomfortable that we decided to leave. The waitress stated the she had not intended to insult us. We then realised that the manager had infact been in the room when all this was happening and had not intervened. We spoke to her and she also apologised but by now it all felt very unprofessional and awkward.
Lovely room in a super location Very pleasant and professional receptionist

United KingdomSize of room. There was just not enough space. We are not a particularly large couple. There was no where to sit apart from the bed and no room for any chairs The handbasin was by the bed and a siding door closed off the toilet and shower and everything was a tight squeeze, which was not apparent form the room description on th e Booking.com site. The hotel, staff and location were excellent, The room was just too small.

United KingdomRoom was big but noisy from extractor fan outside and also from people sleeping above. They came in very late and woke us up but we could also just hear them walking around during the day. Better soundproofing would be appreciated. Sounds silly but our packets of biscuits on the tea tray were all crushed up into little bits and the towels were very small and thin for a hotel of this level.
Location was excellent and staff lovely

United KingdomSmall room and stairs Very expensive
Breakfast was great. Staff were lovely very helpful. Location was fantastic. The overall appearance of the hotel was beautiful but I found the stairs quite a lot we were on top floor and the room was very small. I was on my own even though it was for 2 people I struggled with navigating around the room with little space.

United StatesSorry, but as good as the staff and location were, we didn't like this hotel and won't stay here again. The two main reasons for this are: 1. The size of the room (it was absolutely tiny--you could just fit walking around the bed and we were tripping over our luggage). 2. There is no elevator and we were put on the third floor. Every time we went to the room it was 63 steps to get up. And to top it off, this tiny room on the top floor with no elevator cost about 230 Euros a night. I know Dublin is an expensive city, but this just felt wrong to us.
Great staff and very good location. And the breakfast was diverse and huge.

United StatesI loved the view from the 457 dollar Dungeon basement. I could see the sidewalk, feet passing by, and cigarette smokers flicking their ashes my way.
When the receptionist took us to our room, she didn't mention the step and I took a tumble over the step and had to get stitches. She didn't seem to care, didn't come out to help. I was literally a bloody mess. This after four days hiking the Wicklow Mountains. I Irony of it all.

SwitzerlandThe room was tiny. Normally I don't mind small hotel rooms because most of the day one isn't home anyways. But this was too small. One has no space to open up the luggage or basically to do anything than lying on the bed. The breakfast was relatively good, freshly made. But one is only allowed to have one plate which I think is not enough. I think its good to serve small portions, because I am absolutely against wasting food, but one should be allowed more if one is still hungry. As for the drinks there was no hot chocolate option and only very few tea options as well.
The hotel was located very well, one could reach a lot of sights easily by foot. Friedly staff and very clean room.
