Barry and Jens were extraordinary hosts in every way — their hospitality and the care in greeting us and showing us the property , the care and attention to every detail in the gorgeous house — curated with art to the level of a museum, and the superb breakfasts with home baked good courtesy of Jens — it was all beyond all expectations— and have travelled on 5 continents. Barry assisted us with helpful maps and recommendations in the area, and Jens artistic eye for details in the house decor and the skill of this cooking won’t be forgotten. They are two of the most attentive and friendly hosts we have encountered in 15 years of travel. M

The hosts of this beautiful B&B were the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed friendly chats with both of them and they provided us with the most beautiful breakfasts of our entire stay in Ireland. As our stay was during the Olympic games we missed not having a TV for evening viewing. However, everything else was excellent.

The location was perfect. The accommodation was amazing. It was like stepping inside a 5* hotel. Our hosts greeted us with genuine warmth. My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Valhalla a few weeks back and I have to say this was one of the best stops along our road trip. Barry and Jens were the most gracious and attentive hosts. Jens welcomed us and showed us around and left us to enjoy our evening. Barry has immense knowledge of the area and show us all the stops to take on the ring of Kerry. Breakfast was amazing. The home is lovely, and the location can’t be beat. You are 10 mins from Kenmare and is on the ring of Kerry if that is a stop for you.

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was prepared to please and was personalized to each guest. Jens and Barry were very helpful at all levels (advice as to what road to take, where to visit) and they offered the best gluten-free cake we've ever eaten.

The only quibble was with the in-room teapot and accessories, which was on a very low table.

The view from our room was spectacular. The breakfast was plentiful, healthy, delicious and varied. They accommodated our special needs. The owners helped carry our our luggage upstairs, were available when needed yet not intrusive, and recommended an itinerary for traveling the Ring of Kerry that worked out perfectly.

The Valhalla BnB exceeded all our expectations and is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The cleanliness was perfect, making us feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere added to the charm, making every moment there incredibly enjoyable. Breakfast was superb, with delicious options that started our days off perfectly. Jens and Barry were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing us with excellent recommendations for local restaurants and sightseeing on the Ring of Kerry. Their hospitality made our stay special and we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. We wish we could have stayed longer. This BnB is a gem :-) Highly recommended for anyone looking for a perfect stay!

We loved the localisation, the stunning view from our room upon the Ring of Kerry but most importantly, Barry and Jens made us feel at home there and gave us great recommendations. They were very caring, kind, and their homemade breakfast was the best I ever tasted in a hotel. We had the best experience in Kerry thanks to Barry and Jens. Thank you again for everything. Would have preferred a TV in room. A minor thing…I don’t quite enjoy taking shoes off at entrance and wearing borrowed slippers. I do respect the preference as we have friends who do it but it’s the first time I see it at a BnB. Not a dealbreaker by any means but as an FYI.

Amazing view and wonderful recommendations by the hosts. Barry and Jens are friendly and knowledgeable and the place is stylish and sophisticated without being precious. Delicious breakfast as well, in either of their 2 nice spaces. But the sunroom is perfection! They adapted to my allergen needs very well. Do love it is a retreat for adults only. Would stay again!

Beautiful views. We loved this stay! The location offered easy driving to the town, wonderful nature and cultural sites, and hiking. Barry and Jens took such good care of us and the other guests. The breakfasts were remarkable. The time spent helping us plan out daily routes and activities was very kind and helpful.

Wonderful place with wonderful owners! We stayed for two nights, and everything was great. The house is perfectly clean, the views are amazing and, what melt my heart, owners are very attentive to make a good atmosphere. From breakfast serving to every detail in home decoration. We were returning to Valhalla BnB after our 2022's stay. Again for 3 nights. An awesome stay again. Such a beautiful place. It felt like coming home. Barry and Jens are courteous hosts. The room was in a superb condition as well as the whole BnB. We liked the chats at breakfast even though they were busy to make it an experience for us. Again "The cake of the day" was outstanding. Talk to them to get advise for your trips at the Ring of Kerry it is worth it. We'll definitely come back ! Hugs and love from Hamburg ;-)

Wonderful location with a stunning view across the bay and the Beara peninsula. Excellent breakfast lovingly prepared by Jens and Barry who are wonderful hosts. They made our stay an exceptional experience. Equipped with tips and routes by our hosts to dicover the area, the days just flew by. And there is so much more to discover....5 days are barely enough.
