Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt was perfect.
Amazing place. I wish we had more nights here. Suzanne, the owner, made it memorable, cozy, inviting! While we were out for dinner, we came back and found a fire going in the kitchen and sitting room. The morning breakfast was scrumptious - homemade scones, French pressed coffee, fruit and yogurt with choices of muesli, or similar toppings. She gave us recommendations for dinner and hikes in the beautiful Glendalogh National Park. We will be back!!

AustraliaNo doorbell and hopless phone reception so do use What's App to communicate your arrival.
Our hostess went above and beyond. We had car trouble that couldn't be fixed until the next day. She drove us into the local town for dinner and then came back to pick us up when done. The next day dropped us to our car and made sure all was well before leaving. The house itself is beautiful: gorgeous setting, big comfortable room with spotless facilities. Lovely big fruit scones for breakfast looking out over the amazing garden.

United KingdomThe room was comfortable and cosy. The host was very friendly and helpful. She hung up our wet things after a rainy walk and loaned me a spare coat to wear to dinner. The location is perfect - we saw lots of birds and wild foxes from our window. Breakfast scones were delicious! Thank you for a lovely stay.

PortugalThere was only one thing we didn’t like, we had to leave!
There is no right word to describe our staying! The environment was stunning! The house was spotless! Everything was absolutely beautiful and amazing! The hostess is the nicest lady on earth! She prepared us the most amazing breakfasts, with homemade scones, and since we’re not able to rent a car, and taxis are difficult to find in that area, she predisposed to drives around, she was so nice to us! As I said there’s not right, or enough, words to describe how amazing our staying was! Regarding the room, it was beautiful, very we’ll decored, cozy and had all the essentials! Ohh, if you book the room with the extra large bed, believe me when I say, it’s extra extra large! The bed it’s very big and very very comfortable!

United KingdomWhat an amazing find, gorgeous house, fantastic rooms, bed the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The breakfast was unbelievable and the host was like your favourite cousin, sorting out everything, including a lift to the local pub. I cannot recommend this place enough, you will never experience Irish hospitality any better than at Forest view with Suzanne. We will definitely be back.

United StatesSeems like all guests don’t think alike when it comes to sharing a kitchen. Perhaps it would be good to provide a “check list”.

United KingdomWe loved staying with Suzanne! We were two single ladies in our late 20s and we fancied some time away in the fresh air because we love walking. Suzanne was exceptional and made us feel like we were in our home away from home. Our room was beautiful and the breakfast scones were to die for. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very comfortable and looked after.

IrelandSlightly hard to find, sign is small and easily missed. The lodge entrance is just after Doire Coille House B&B, about 1km south of the turnoff to Glenmalure if coming from Laragh.
Good location for some work in the Glendalough area. Suzanne was very friendly and helpful; especially when the electricity failed due to strong winds.

AustraliaNothing it was perfect!
My first stop in Ireland. It was perfect! Suzanne was amazing and went above and beyond all expectations. The bedroom and ensuite were super roomy and beautifully presented. The surprise of a breakfast in the morning was fantastic. Separate kitchens for the various guests was genius and made things so homely.
