Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe room was a bit soulless, but this is due to the hotel type, which is more a youth hostel. It is quite large so you will definitely not be alone ! It can be loud in the evening when there is a concert or the like on the 1st floor.
Location is central and convenient, close to shops and restaurants etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, not a large choice but sufficient. The kitchen appliances are a bit old but they still work and it´s fun cooking there. Generally. nice and very international atmosphere. Room (superior) was large and OK.

IrelandVery difficult to get a taxi when we needed to leave and catch a train. This is a problem all over Tel Aviv but even after downloading the app to book taxis drivers didn’t want to pick us up for the short fare, we would have walked but we had baggage with us.
The staff were helpful. The bar had a great buzz for people who are looking to meet up with others. You can walk to many nice cafe’s etc from here.

GermanyI used to stay a lot in Abraham Hostels before the pandemic and loved them because they were spotless clean and the breakfast was amazing. I got pretty disappointed now. The common bathroom was just disgusting and even the family room was full of hair. Also, in our 3-night stay it wasn’t cleaned once. Breakfast was a big letdown as well, not even remotely comparable to how it used to be. I wouldn’t stay there again unfortunately, there are cheaper options with a similar standard in TLV.
The staff is amazing, very sweet and helpful. The rooftop terrace and the terrace are great to hang out and meet other people. The location is fantastic, right at Rothschild Blvd.

United KingdomThe Hostel was really well run. All the necessary communal facilities. Location was decent for a good amount of food options, and then about 20/30 minutes to various parts of the beach and Jaffa Market. Beds could have been more comfortable and bigger, but was fine for a small stay. Some noise travels, but expected for a hostel. Good rooftop, bar area and breakfast.

SlovakiaOne of the best atmospheres I've ever been to. Staff really nice and helpful, room clean, breakfast nice (bread the best) and rooftop great. Grocery 24/7 just around the corner. Besides one morning freezing cold (AC way too strong) in the dining room everything was great. Thanks a lot.

AustraliaGenetically male guests are let into the female dormitory. This created a lot of distress and discomfort for all the guests in the dorm. I have contacted the property regarding this, and am yet to receive a reply. If you are a solo female traveller, it is not recommended to stay at this hostel if you wish to feel both comfortable and safe in a women’s dormitory.
Facilities were fine.

AustraliaThe female dormitory is not a female dormitory. We had a man in our dorm on the basis they identify as a female. I was sitting on my bed and a very tall man came out in a towel in front of me, while other women were in their beds and changing when he arrived. I respect all people and the decisions they make with their lives, but I do not feel comfortable sharing a bedroom with a man. I have contacted the property about this and explained that to the property and they are yet to reply. The German man, when approached by a woman asking why he is in a female dormitory, told the woman to “go to Jerualem”, which is another issue when you have a German telling a Jewish woman that she should leave the city if she wants to be Jewish. Although the women who directly approached the man was religious, all of us felt uncomfortable sharing the dormitory with a man, including secular women. We reserve the female dormitory to feel safe and comfortable, and the venue has not respected this nor offered any compensation. They either needed to advertise the room as female identifying so that women can book a dormitory else where when seeking a female dormitory, or they need to enforce policies that only genetically born women are allowed in the female dormitory. This situation caused a lot of upset and distress for all people involved and the venue needs to do much better.
The facilities and cleanliness is all pretty reasonable and as expected for the price and description.

AustriaThis place is a hotspot in Tel Aviv. Good Location, good value with breakfast, a huge lounge where they serve breakfast and wonderful rooftop. I was there during Purim time and there was a very good vibe with young people going up and down the building. The front desk staff is not very warm but we brazilians expect everybody will smile at us anytime.

United KingdomThe one person on reception and also the policy about having to take pot luck when it comes to booking a lower bunk. You should make allowances for people that are disabled and give them priority. If I come to stay again I doubt whether I would request a dorm anyway. The economy room was great and I got just as much comfort in that as I did the luxury room.
I thought the vibe in the hostel was great and most of the staff on reception or very helpful with the exception of one person.

United KingdomThe building is a but grubby and so is the room. There was no shower gel in the dispenser and the A/C wasn’t working properly so it got a bit too cold at some point. Breakfast is pretty basic, I stayed for two nights but did not bother having breakfast the second morning. Would probably try a different place next time.
Abraham is well located - I was able to walk everywhere in Tel Aviv from the hostel. I guess for Tel Aviv, the rooms are reasonably priced.

IrelandUnfortunately, it is not very welcoming. Too big to actually meet anyone and lots of locals instead of travellers. Reception didn't seem to know anything about the surroundings struggling to give basic recommendations, I asked multiple people, not only one. Cleanliness questionionable. Breakfast ok.
