Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The hotel itself is a historic building and is actually part of the city walls. The interior is absolutely stunning, resembling a museum, and even the walls in the corridors are protected by glass. Our room had a charming and rustic ambiance, reminiscent of the interior of a castle, and it was quite spacious. The breakfast at the hotel was also plentiful. By taking the elevator to the 3rd floor, you can access the city walls, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Acre and the ancient city. The scenery is truly beautiful.

DenmarkThe room we had was clearly intended for 2 adults and 2 children (2 beds on top of the bathroom (very limited ceiling-hight) and not 3 adults! While there is a lift installed, people with disabilities might struggle ... but only a bit.
While the building itself is "only" about 100 years old (it used to be a courthouse), it is absolutely charming (partly build into the old wall)! The room we shared was small, but very authentic with attention to charming details, and had all required amenities! The room faced a closed courtyard, so all was very quiet during nighttime. While parking in old Acre must be an absolute nightmare, the hotel has excellent, reserved parking right next to the front door! The breakfast-buffet, while small, had everything we wanted!

United StatesBed was firm for my personal preference but even so I would still stay at this hotel again when in Akko.
Excellent location with reserved parking right outside the hotel’s front entrance, easy short walk to the Knight’s Hall. The hotel is in a very old building with historical significance. The staff and hotel owner were all nice and knowledgeable. The guest rooms were large and clean with a nice hot shower.

United StatesA little challenging to find. I passed it on my first try. While it’s not the hotel’s fault, the 4:45am ‘Call to Prayer’ each morning was inconvenient.
I parked my car in the hotel’s lot and didn’t move it till I left Acre. Everything is in walking distance. A very good breakfast.

United StatesNot the hotel's fault but there was some kind of celebration going that went loud and long into the night. Nothing ear plugs couldn't fix.
Akko was a question mark in our Israel itinerary. We chose the Akkotel for our stay there and were VERY pleasantly surprised. We loved this hotel and consider it the best of the hotels on our entire trip. The building is very cool. It is built right into the city walls. It is also close enough to walk to anything you want to see in the city. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We talked with the owner for a while and he told us about the history of the building and the process of converting it to a hotel. Really nice guy.

Unique. the property is attached to the old city wall so it gives the room a unique shape and arches although my room windows are barred. decor is interesting and it gives the place a character.
