Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryThe biggest problem is the location of the hotel rooms in relation to the dining room and the pool, as the noise from these places (breakfast and dinner, children playing, waterfall splashing) is too loud to sleep even on the top floor, with the doors closed and the air conditioning on. Moreover, unfortunately, the room has a view not only of the sea but also of the neighbouring cemetery. Although it's not entirely the hotel's fault (perhaps there should be a code of conduct?), the behaviour of most of the guests was appalling. At breakfast, despite the spacious space and the few persons, people were pushing and shouting, and during Shabbat the children were running up the stairs and playing football in the corridors all day while listening to music and shouting. All in all, we think it was not worth the value for money, we booked a much better hotel in Jerusalem for the same money.
We were informed on arrival that the accommodation was overbooked, so we were upgraded to a sea view room at the nearby Emily's Hotel, so that's what my review describes. The breakfast is plentiful, the staff are friendly (although sometimes they like to sit in their armchairs and play on their phones instead of serving), the rooms are tidy.

United Statesthe Friday night dinner was a bit of a disappointment. The fish was overdone and the dishes were not labeled so had no idea of what some might be. The bathroom was through the dining room from the pool, so a bit of an issue if dripping wet.
Tanya, the receptionist/host was so very helpful, giving info regarding hiking, visiting kibbutz, and beaches to visit. A lovely lady!

ChinaAfter checking in the Aviv hotel, the boss asked us to Check in with Emily next door. In fact, the quality of Emily's hotel should be better than Aviv, so this evaluation is actually based on Emily's hotel. The buffet and breakfast at Emily's are good and the front office staff is friendly.

IsraelThe apartment wasn't perfectly clean (color of the walls, the floor), the door to the bathroom didn't close well (apartment 204), we expected (and asked) for dishes to eat with, in the apartment, also the sponge was used a lot before we came and there wasn't soap for dishes at all.
The apartment was little but equipped, the bed was very comfortable. Great location, 5 minutes walk to the sea and to all the restaurants. The breakfast was in the nearby hotel and was great. The reception was very nice and always there to answer. We arrived early and received the apartment right away, there was an available parking space without charge. Great value for the price👍🏻

PortugalThough Emily Hotel was a short walk, it would have been more convenient to have breakfast at the Aviv, our room could have a bit more personal touch, amenities to make it cozier.

United StatesThe manager in charge at breakfast was hovering over us and pacing back and fourth a lot. He was not very friendly either. I stayed here 4 years ago and the atmosphere was much more pleasant. I did not like that they made our two twin beds a King by using one large sheet and blanket. We were not able to separate our beds like we did last time.
I liked that there were 3 single beds in our room as most for 3 people in Israel have 2 and a sofa sleeper. I liked that we had a kitchenette with a large refrigerator. The breakfast was in their sister hotel next door and had a large variety of food! There was also a balcony which helped when drying clothing.
