Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomRoom cleaning service is not that great. Breakfast was supposed to be included. But it wasn’t served, so probably don’t count it if it’s a major reason to book it.
It’s in the middle of the Old city. Hardly 10 steps and you are in Al Aqsa, 2 minutes from western wall. 5 minutes from schipulture church. Shops and souqs 2 minutes walk. They allowed me to wash my clothes. Good shower

United KingdomRooms always seemed a bit damp and room a bit on the small side. As toilet is next to room it was a bit smelly.
Amazing location, friendly staff and nice lounge area.

South AfricaThere was renovation going on, so the place was a mess, but it is well positioned right at the ĝate of AL Aqsa mosque. The bed was not comfortable, and the pillows needed a refresh. Only 1 bathroom and shower combo, a second one would be great, having to wake up at 2am to beat the other guests can be challenging as everyone plans for the same. Overall, it was a good budget experience as we only needed a place to shower and sleep at night . Well worth the money spent for the convenience of al aqsa mosque. !
Proximity to Al-Aqsa mosque. It's literally on the doorstep. Perfect for group of friends who was a budget hotel with easy access to the mosque. I'd love to see this place when the renovations are completed. Would definitely book again!

Excellent location. Few meters from AlAqsa compound. Less than 1 minute from Dome of the Rock and Aqsa mosque. It is an old historic structure. Not your typical hotel. I like to stay there when I am visiting Jerusalem

United StatesI never felt comfortable using the bathroom here. In the dorm, there isn’t really a door. Just a stall with a partial door. The shared bathroom in the main hallway didn’t lock. There’s also only two toilets and showers for about 14 guests. AC in the dorm didn’t work very well, which is rough in Jerusalem in July. And things close in the Old City earlier than elsewhere, so just be prepared food wise.
Great location right next to Al-Aqsa. A bit hard to find but the staff were very helpful. Just don’t follow google maps because you’ll be directed through the Mosque, which isn’t always available to go through. Super neat architecture in the Old City. Feels like staying in a cave.

AustraliaThe location was very good - in the Old Town. One night we needed to get to another part of the town and the owner (I think it was the owner) took us there in his tuk tuk. The staff were brilliant. Every time we came back from an outing we were offered bottled water from the fridge. The room was very basic with terribly thin walls and we could hear everything that went on in the other side. Breakfast was provided and although good it was the same every day. A bit of variety would have been good.

PolandWhen I arrived the bed sheets on my bed weren't fresh, they were obviously used by a previous guest. Overall the place is not that clean, especially the bathrooms. Endurable for a short stay.
Great price and location right by the Temple Mount in the Old City. The hostel is located in an old traditional building right by the Chain Gate. Great for a short stay in Jerusalem. The breakfast was pretty good and enough for the money.

United StatesHaving same room with about 10 more people may be problematic. Owners were a bit reckless about your sleeping. They do not care to open lights about 8a.m. and u may wake up with high voices about 10a.m.
The best part was location. When u take 15 steps, u re in Masjid Al Aqsa. Secondary best stuff was free coffee and tea. Thirdly, I was in 8 more people in the same room. It may seem bad at first, but they were nice people and it was great to talk to them.
