Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandShabat means accessing the location for the first time on a Saturday evening is limited. I had no way of contacting the receptionist. This is their culture though, so expect it and accept it.
Air conditioning was exceptional. Room was clean. Very comfortable. Receptionist was very friendly.

CanadaFirst thing first, this is not a hotel, it's an apartment in an old apartment building that was split into small rooms. As others have said, there is nobody at reception to talk to. There was a water shutoff overnight that was not communicated to guests, and there is no hot water in the shower. While the room was clean, those things are deal-breakers. Even for the frugal traveller, this comes across like a scam.
Great location, a short walk to the beach.

MaltaREAD THIS BEFORE BOOKING! Manager was very rude and the place was very dirty! To summarise our story, the manager is extremely arrogant and unhelpful. We found people sleeping in our room on arrival and the manager told us to go sleep in their room, despite it being dirty! There were roaches everywhere and the place looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages! I attached some pictures of the place where you can literally see dead roaches in the corridor! I also attached a picture of the room that the manager told us to go sleep in after other people had just slept in the same bed. One of them was still literally in the room trying to pack up her stuff while were there. He also was very uncooperative and didn't even refund us for this first night that we didn't use and hung up on us when trying to ask for another room. Rooms were all very dirty, no one is hardly ever at the reception and the manager never shows up either. Other than the location, I can't think about anything nice to say. Book your stay anywhere else but do not spend a penny at this hotel because it is disastrous!

MaltaThere wasn't anyone in the reception to speak with. The room smelled bad, there was humidity, and the bathroom was filthy. We had a reservation for another night. However, we decided to cancel it and find another place.

Cyprusthe room was not the room that was on booking, it was a smaller room, very dirty, smell of sewage, there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom cabinet, the balcony was all broken and full of insects. the guy came and put us outside the door, gave us the key and got away quickly, no where to be seen since then. we went away from there for one night out of the three nights we paid for, and when we came back someone else already got our room, we left things in the room and in the fridge and it wasn’t there anymore.

United KingdomIts absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed ( you can't even call it a hotel) . We arrived before midnight, we were left with no key to our room , reception was closed. Eventually when we got to the room ,there were cockroaches, bed sheets were not changed, towels were not changed, we had used by previous guests towels, there was not a single toilet paper roll, blocked sink, window wouldn't close. We would have not stayed there and looked for a different hotel but we arrived very late and it was too late to look for alternative and we had to be up at around 5 am. We anyway couldn't sleep there as thinking constantly about these cockroaches.. We emailed Idelson place and left a complaint but no response. We haven't read reviews before booking this place but now we understand what this place is about. We think it's absolutely disgusting and disgraceful that booking.com still keeps this place in their listings of hotels after so many bad reviews., Even if booking.com wrote to me saying that they will consider terminating cooperation with Idelson. Booking.com has also promised us a compensation, but all that we have received was equivalent of 12£ and ' promise ' to 'make it up to us' , tried to contact them , still nothing... So we are considering to never use booking.com again.

IsraelHello. I'm Larysa. I booked a hotel for one night on May 11 - May 12, indicated that payment would be made upon check-in, indicated all my data. at Buckingham the price was indicated in Canadian dollars 126.38 CAD. but as soon as I was at the door of the hotel, 154.02 CAD was illegally deducted from my card. when I asked at the reception I was told that this price is at the shekel rate. Price at the shekel rate ILS=0, 3665 this is 344.85 shekels *0.3665=126.38CAD. I presented all the documents. I am not a resident of Israel. On what basis was 154.02 CAD withdrawn from my card??? it's just a scam and arbitrariness. Because I wanted to pay on arrival. Please understand. Refund the price difference.

IsraelSome weird slit above mirror in the bathroom, partially stuffed with paper towels, with a view of hotel entrance and nearby street. Could be useful for a spy or a vigilante? No fresh towels or any sight of room service during 6 day stay.
Nice inexpensive hotel in the center of the city! Everything worked fine and was almost new and almost clean. The main thing was an ability to book without credit card and pay with cash.

BrazilThe bedding did not fit the bed. The bathroom air vent was clogged and caused me allergies. There is a huge cabinet in the room which we did not use, it is honestly taking up space.
Location and price were very good. It was close to restaurants and supermarkets. The air conditioner worked really well for cooling the room down.

IsraelEverything was great. However, there's no breakfast or other food option. But there are grocery stores nearby. Still it would be good if there was a vending machine in the hotel for snacks and drinks in addition to the tea and coffee they provide.
I have stayed several times at this hotel. I booked a single room but the reception guy kindly upgraded me and gave me a lovely double room. In the past as well I occasionally got an upgrade. Location is very central, fridge in room. There is coffee and tea available at the main entrance. And a terrasse.
