Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesJoseph Hotel TLV offers attractions to visitors. It is near the Tel Aviv light rail system. Using the light rail, one can easily reach the beach. The property is surrounded by restaurants and eateries. The breakfast was a highlight. Most importantly, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

CanadaMore breakfast options.
I didn't see a lot of breakfast items. What I did see, was okay. I enjoyed the granola and the hard boiled egg. I enjoyed the Shabbat dinner food on Friday night.

BulgariaThe entry to the hotel is with a code which is not provided before hand. So you stand there thinking your own way into the building. I tried to press the button to call someone but with no success. I suggest that the hotel could somehow change this process for easy and smooth customer experience. The breakfast could be more varied.
The hotel is located in the Jaffa quarter. It is 10-15 minutes walk away from the beach and the promenade. Next to the entrance there is the lightrail stop so you can easily get around the city in no time. The staff are quite nice, always smiling. The room is not so big but it is cozy and very modern. Great value for money in my opinion. I would definitely book again if I would come.

RussiaIt was a real pleasure to stay here! The staff were amazing, they helped us with everything. Also, there were tasty breakfasts with flexible hours and the possibility to buy launches. The location is also wonderful — only 15 minutes to the sea.

IsraelThe toilet paper holder in our bathroom was broken. I hate putting the TP on the floor. If it is broken, and even assuming it happened just before we arrived and you had no time to fix it, why not place a free-standing TP holder in the meantime? There were trays with some Danish cakes and Burekas which did not move during the 2 days we were there. Even during the night they were not put in refrigeration or replaced.
We loved how close it is - 5 minutes by foot to the flea market, lots of restaurants, bars, convenient stores around. There is a parking next to the hotel which was free on Saturday. Breakfast was very basic (by Israeli standards) but sufficient.

Hong KongIt is a bit difficult for taxi driver to find the hotel driveway entrance. It would be good if the hotel can provide driving direction with map. The lift was not working (not because of shabbat) on the day when we arrived. So we had to carry our luggages via the stairs to the first floor. Luckily our rooms are all on the first floor.
The hotel is 10-minutes walk to Jaffa flea market and there are lots of restaurants around it. Most restaurants were opened on Shabbat. The hotel has a 24-hr buffet coffee bar with snacks. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. We arrived at Tel Aviv on Oct 6, 2023. Sounds of explosion were heard the next morning. The receptionist acted calmly and showed us where the bomb shelter was. Although worried, but we felt safe.

GermanyI was alone. For one person it was ok. For 2 people the room could be a little bigger. It was very noisy. But I think that s usual in Israel. The place I stayed before was also noisy. I think the construction is not the quality I am used to in colder countries.
Room was like on the pics. It was modern, clean and ok for only one night. I just stayed one night.

United KingdomFinding the hotel.
It took me about 2 hours to find the hotel, travelling from Haifa Ha Hagana station and using the number 46 bus. It should have been straight forward, but it turns out there are 2 Jerusalem Boulevards and as I didn't have working wifi, I missed my stop and when I asked for help was sent to the wrong area. Also, the hotel is upstairs, located in a block between 2 closed/empty shops- so from the road appears to not be there. Look out for the Bloomfield stadium as this is very close! However, once I'd found it- it was very good. Lovely comfortable bed with an eclectic collection of books to read. There were no coffee making facilities in the room, but an excellent selection with snacks outside. Jaffa market is 5 mins walk away and well worth a visit. I also went to Deli Alhambra just up the Boulevard which has great local beers and hip hop. The journey from Joseph hotel to Ben Gurion was painless and took about 40mins via bus and train.

United KingdomThe room was immediately next to a car park for that building so very early in the morning, cars just a couple of metres away drive in and over some kind of noisy ramp. Window/view was the inside of an upper level car park. As with pretty much the whole of Israel, the sound of beeping cars is constant. I'm not sure if you will find a hotel that is immune to this.
Quite boutiquey, modern room. Close to bars, restaurants, old Jaffa, short walk to a quiet beach. Free snacks and coffee all day, wine in the evening! Bed was comfortable. Nice staff.

United StatesRoom didn't have all the toiletries needed on the first day. The staff was readily available to provide items needed. Holding onto an actual key vs a card to open and lock the door was annoying.
I really like how close proximity to restaurants, and the beach. The staff was also helpful with our questions and provided recommendations. It was pretty quiet, not a lot noise in the area.

IsraelI honestly have no complaints.
The proprietor was very welcoming and accomodating. He brought a special chair to our room so my disabled wife could sit more comfortably. I liked the fact that self service hot coffee and a variety of cakes and biscuits were available in the lobby at all times of the day and night. The room was clean and a welcoming place to return to at the end of a day exploring the nearby sites in the old quarter of Jaffa, which was literally within walking distance from this ideal location. Parking was free and convenient. A light rail stop was very nearby so there was no need to even move the car during our stay. The room rate was reasonable and I'm sure I will stay there again next time I have reason to visit the area. We did not avail ourselves of all this hotel had to offer because its location is full of interesting eateries to sample from, so that's we did for meals.
