Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsUpon arrival quite noisy and messy with many people around due to ongoing celebrations on the first floor. At 10pm everything quiet and all calmed down.
Breakfast very elaborate, plenty of choice with fresh fruit available. Also got a free upgrade, much appreciated!

IsraelThe rooms we got have little storage facilities so we kept most of our stuff in our suitcases. During the days and evenings we heard the people on the floor above us walking around, especially the children jumping and running during the rainy days when they stayed indoor. The entrance of the hotel has an elevator and you have to guess that the reception is at the next floor. Maybe it is a good idea to put a shield on the wall, because we met several people who asked us where the reception is located. We left a day earlier than was planned and paid for. The reception did not care to ask what happened.
We had a double room. It was clean, the air conditioning was excellent because of the Jerusalem winter cold. The rooms are well maintained. The location of the hotel is perfect, with public transport in all directions. We asked for extra blankets and received them very soon.

AustraliaBathroom was tiny Had to remove toilet roll to sit on the toilet and I’m not a giant of a man Small gap between shower and wall where toilet was located Although breakfast was visually appealing, food was of poor quality and old Give less variety, but improve the quality
Great location that met our needs for the duration of a festival Close to the Shuk and walking distance to the old city Many good eateries in the neighbourhood . Plenty of bars around and very safe

IsraelLots of noise in the hall by the elevators. Kids playing ball in the reception area Saturday morning. The shower stall has a shampoo soap wall dispenser, no real toiletries. Only one shower towel and one hand towel per person. No Nespresso type coffee. Only 1 330cl bottle of water in the room for 2 guests.
Breakfast was nicer than expected for a Shabbat . Manager was nice, talked to all the guests.

United Statesthe room is very small, did not have a microwave and to get to the room you need to carry your suitcase down (and eventually up) a flight of stairs. the price of the room was very fair-- but its something you need to know before you check in. a member of the staff was kind enough to help me into my room, but I had to get my bags (up the stairs) on my own. The room is quiet, but it is not on the floor with the rest of the rooms and thus you have a feeling of being isolated.
most of the staff was very friendly. they allowed me to keep my bags in the bag room all day after I checked out. the room was quiet

NorwayThe room was dirty. The bathroom was not properly clean when I got there, I had to tell them to clean it more. the shower was so tiny and it was running over the whole bath. I would have left but I have not already payed. It was so humid in the room. Dull lightning. The bed beneath the sheet was disgusting.

United Kingdomsuite is NOT A SUITE, it a dormitory at best, family room at a push, if your children don’t mind seeing you in bed. pictures are misleading, been this hotel before with double rooms and check our review history to see we are not putting this on, staff though it funny to deceive us, wife speaks Hebrew by the way, the manager offered second room for half price, but charged full price and extra for breakfast, booking.com informed but did not care. should have been moved, paid top dollar this nonsense, really spoiled a group tour. management must have laughed, but not now! avoid this hotel.

United StatesThe staff was really unwelcoming. We arrive just 1h before their official check-in time which is 15. They asked us to have a walk and when we got back at 15 they refuse to give us the key of the room, giving some excuse of non-readiness of the room. After argueing with them, we got into the room until 15:30. I have traveled in hundreds of hotels around the world and I never been "welcomed" this way. Absolutely disappointing!

United KingdomThe third bed was extremely soft and gave me back ache. The cleaners burst into the room without knocking when we were in there and did not clean well - they didn't change the used glasses or cups and didn't give extra toilet paper. I had to go to reception to ask and there was no apology and no offer to bring it to the room - they just dumped it all in my arms. staff barely spoke to us in the dining room, not at all friendly. Breakfast was okay but not what we expected from an israeli hotel, hot food wasnt very hot at all, bad toaster which burnt, no pastries etc. Staff push in front of you in the lift and as there is only 1 and it is very small it means that we had to wait till after them - just not great hospitality. When we left I gave them the key and they didn't really say anything, not thanks for chosing the hotel or wishing us a good forward journey. I was a mum travelling with 2 kids and a big suitcase and at no point was I offered any assistance.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of downtown Jerusalem and most things we wanted to do were within walking distance. We also appreciated the double room we got, with a fridge and kettle. The aircon worked really well.

Italythe cleaning of the room the sheets were never changed in 6 days of my stay During shabbat the lift doesn't work: while I fully respect the habit and religion I believe that an hotel could not stop some basic services (like the lift!) for the tourist. I was on fifth floor and I paid for a service that was unavailable for more than one day.

Canadathe appliances in the kitchen are both not working. The microwave was not working and the kettle is broken at the bottom that is why it was leaking. They replaced the kettle on the 4th day for a very small kettle. The bathroom is usable but the since the bottom edge of the shower door is broken, the water leaks all over the bathroom.
the bedrooms plus the beds are very comfortable and the beds are done everyday.
