Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenThere were 10 beds in the 1-bedroom-apartment, which is called hostel. 4 in the living area, which also has a pentry. There were only two small tables, where one could eat, trapped in between the beds respectively between the bed and the pentry. Though the picture is incorrect. 6 beds were in the bedroom. It was not much space left. In the pentry was only one hotplate - with space for one pot or pan. The refridgerator was too small for all the people. There was only one combined toilet/shower room, where even the washing machine and the dryer is. Think about it: 1 bathroom for 10 people!
The cleaning of the guy, who lives at the hostel and cleans. There were lockers. There were windows in the bathroom and the bedroom, which could be opened. There was a washing machine and a dryer. The hummus restaurant on the other side of the street. There are two (super)markets nearby and it is walking distance to nearly everywhere in Jerusalem city.

SpainFoto living room show in booking is not like that plenty of bunkbed on the open space kitchen living room. Check in details: no room3 three found, only one door apartment , wrong code. When we enter we see and apartment with 10 bunkbeds in the kitchen/living room and the other in a room. So it was one bedroom apartment not an hostel !!!! When we arrived we several times knock the door and someone who is living there open it and was nice okay but surprised that we arrived and didnt know about which bed we have to take. One bed was clean , mine i would say it was touched and not properly ready for a new customers. So there was no availability to have a shower because the shower is one and in the bathroom WC as well. A nightmare, i beg my boyfriend to go the second night to another place. That night i slept with my clothes on , no shower, and the window was sort of taped and open for the room refresh itself. Booking agreed to do a refund of 15% but the property still no answer my messages and didnt refund the second night. I am pretty upset i didnt took more fotos to explain to booking that is downgrade booking have a 1 bedrrom apartm, not clean, desorganized and over capacity, no conditions at all be here at BOOKING. I am asking to bookin to ask for the refund and took this place out of booking . Disapointment ! Dont go! It is like yiu have an 1 bedroom apart with open space kitchen/living room (small area) and you put there 10 bunk beds. Use for daily basis, not a youth hostel or regular hostel !!!! Fake / Scam hostel. Booking are you hep me to have the refund of second night , because last minute i had to move and book an expensive place due to capacity of city ! And at least a refund of second night.
Location only.

PortugalThe entire place is a litle tinny apartment abaut 45m2 with no open spaces or windows, some people is living there permanently. When i stay for 2 nights the place was full abaut 12 people sleeping there thow is only 5 bed bunks. The wifi felt was put on and off manualy since was always up and down mostly did not work. Impossible to contact manager no reply. Hostel does not feature nothing abaut what the descreption says. The pictures do not match with the place since it has been furnished on to it maximum capacity. The price is absurd high but cheapest and works out for sleeping, shower and luggage storage.
Clean, felt safe thow no check in or passport asked. Free towel and coffe. Decoration ok.

Czech RepublicThis was a bit weird.....there was a bunch of automatic emails we received. Such as "THANK YOU FOR YOUR STAY" before our arrival... There was no doorkeeper and we did not receive any entry code. After an hour of knocking and calling the hostel number somebody opened the door. This was a lady, staying here permanently and asking "what we want". The property is not a hostel, it is a flat. Aparently, we were not the only ones who had this problem. After I fell asleep there was another girl standing outside, trying to get in for a couple of hours... we had to ask other guests about the wifi and the door code to get in. Moreover, the bed sheets were used previously, the beds were not clean.
Coffee for free.

CyprusWell..the facilities were not prepared for the new guests. It is a small 1-bedroom apartment with 4 bunk beds, making it too crowded. 1 bunk bed is located next to the main door, inside the living room and in front of the kitchen. It is isolated yet not very private, as everybody passes from there at any time. We also faced difficulties with the main door, that has an electronic lock. The first night we spent outside, on the cold stairs, until 1+am because we were locked outside!
It is indeed a great location. Staff were really helpful when requested to attend some urgent matters. It is ok for those with low budget. Unfortunately, Israel is not very cheap when it comes to accommodation, so that is a good option if you visit Jerusalem. My review for the 2nd day should be a separate one, as the place looked so different. The host attended to our requests, a bit later than expected because it was Saturday when Jewish are not expected to work, but when they arrived..they cleaned everything with such speed and efficiency. The next morning you could go to the bathroom and see the floor! It was really amazing what they did for us.

IsraelThere was no reception, no management, we had to wait for an hour for somebody to come and give us the beds. Nobody was picking up the calls. The room was not clean and very crowded. It was not a comfortable stay for us.
The kitchen was well equipped, good wi-fi, bathroom was also fine but not good 10 people.

GermanyI'm used to hostels being cramped, dirty and uncomfortable. But this was one of the worst hostels I ever stayed in. First of all I was sent 21 messages on booking and 8 on WhatsApp by the owner. A lot of them double. It was so annoying. I even wrote the owner to stop sending me messsges that weren't immediately important for my stay. He said it's not him sending them, it's booking.com. But i've already booked a lot via booking.com and i've never had this before. Then when we arrived we were told there were only two free beds (we were three) and it's normal, that it's overbooked. The guests there helped us to find another room with three free beds. One had no mattress. Fortunately we got that mattress shortly before we went to bed. The mattresses were extemely uncomfortable.
it was cheap in comparison and there was a heater in the room

FranceInadmissible to flee We booked 2 beds in the apartment for 1 night only and we had paid in advance. We arrived in front of the apartment they asked us for a code that we asked the owner and at today’s time that is to say 3 days after I am still waiting for his answer. I tried to reach him by phone many times then by message but in vain no answer!! So we went into the apartment when one of the residents was leaving. Once inside a lady welcomed us without worrying about us and ended up telling us that the apartment was full and that we could not stay there and that it was not her concern despite the fact that we paid and booked!! She sent us to an apartment further away that didn’t exist so we went back to see her and she sent us 25 minutes walk to another apartment we become find hidden keys to finally get to another place that absolutely didn’t have the Location we wanted!!!

No communication - no response to phone calls, only automatic responses to e-mails, no beds despite prior payment and reservation, no response to complaints. Scam and wasted money The worst service I have encountered during my travels, in fact the lack of any service. I do not recommend it.

Poland10 beds in the room with 1 shower and bathroom attached In the morning forget about going to the bathroom or shower Need to turn on the Boiler to get hot water And wait 25+ minutes to get in the shower If no one gets in there before you. There is ac but people open the window No balcony They don't come to clean the place daily and don't make up the beds daily after guests left so you might not have a clean bed There is a kitchen but 4 beds right there So you can't really use the kitchen if someone is sleeping so if you put up the light at night you'll get yelled at Overbooked 8 people came tonight and there are only 4 beds Last night someone came and the bed was not made be aware Previous review was good. Right After i wrote it the owner kicked us out with a story that in a couple of hours they will dig up the floor and placed us in an ugly old apartment. And placed in this apt a group of girls. So was not honest
